Busy week, busy week! Sorry about the very late reply everyone. Let's get started again. With the few days that we have left until ME3 (yay!), I'm going to make this the last session, as I'm sure any questions that you guys have left will be answered by the game itself.

Thanks for all the answers and congratulation

I hope in your next answering session you can answer this one:
Is there a film grain option in ME3 ?
"No. Now that you mention it, that's a bummer."
AlphaJarmel wrote...
Thanks, can you ask how far he is into the game hours-wise?
"Only eight. Schoolwork, man."
hood815 wrote...
is the suicde mission theme anywhere in the game i know the normandy reborn theme is but that could of only been in demo please let us know how good the soundtrack is better then the others ? cheers
"I haven't heard it. The soundtrack is alright. Clint Mansell's done great things, and he's done well here as well. It just doesn't seem as Mass Effect-y."
DiosMios wrote...
Again, thank your for taking the time to do this.
Are the middle dialogue options infrequent or do they show up about as often as in Mass Effect 2? In the demo they were completely absent, so I've been curious about this for a while.
"I wouldn't say 'infrequent', but they definitely don't show up as much.

I must know about the Space Hamster. Please tell me you found him!
"Nope."
Legion-KT wrote...
Hey, thanks for this.
- Do a lot of people we know die, as Bioware seemed to suggest?
- Have you seen Legion yet? How's he doing?
- Has Bioware made many radical changes to familiar NPC's appearances (Like, we know Jack has been redone)
- Have you seen Dr. Chakwas yet?
- Does the story seem like it's rushing you or you have a time limit? I imagine because you're trying to save Earth, you wouldn't have time for many other things except the mission.
"A lot? The best way to put this, without spoiling much is...not yet.
Nope.
Jack looks cool, but no, most of the other characters are the same as ever.
Yeah. Wonderful lady.
There's an almost overwhelming number of side-missions, so I hope there's no time limit."

Are there temporary squadmates like Liara in LOTSB? Gameplay-wise I mean
Can you choose your squadmates freely like in ME1/ME2 or in many instances the game "force" you to bring a particolar character on the mission?
In the main quest, the order in which you progress is set in stone or you can choose what to do first? In ME1 you could complete Feros, Therum and Noveria in any order, for example,
Thanks
"No, actually. Some characters join you during missions, but they never actually join your squad. They just kind of hang out.
Early in the game, squadmates are forced. From then on, you're free to choose.
The main quest is more linear, but there are still opportunities to choose around."

I feel bad about asking anything after all the great answers he's provided, but I might as well go ahead and be part of the experience, so whenever he's ready to respond to more, here's mine:
Are the number of times a dialogue wheel pops up versus the amount of times Shepard speaks on his/her own about equal to Mass Effect 2, or does Shepard take the lead much more frequently now without player input?
"I'm not sure I understand the question. Dialogue is about the same as in ME2, with different camera angles, if that helps."
I think he is asking do we get to choose most of our responses, instead of shepard just saying something without letting us pick a response.
Like someone going
"hey shepard"
and shepard just says "hi" without asking us how to respond.
If you could awnser this again, I would be happy to hear an awnser! Also thank you so much for all the awnsers you guys told us so far!
"Shepard replies more on his own than he did before, definitely. You still do get to choose most responses, though."

Does the overall story go beyond "OMG REAPERS!", or is it still interesting despite being predictable?
Does it feel as if the Reapers are truly a threat to the entire galaxy?
How long does it take to get all of the squadmates?
Do the engineers from ME2 make a return? (Kenneth and Gabriella)
How many MP maps are in the final game?
Thanks for taking the time to answer all of my crazy questions!
"Reapers are the catalyst of the whole story, of course, but the game has enough subplots and narratives to keep it interesting.
Yes. You get the feeling early on that it'll be tough to win.
I haven't finished the game, so that's hard to answer. Not long?
It depends entirely on whether you want them to."

Where does the VS stay? (Like where can you find them in the Normandy)
Also, have there been any refrences to Shepard's pre-service history or psychological profile that we chose in the first ME?
"VS?
Yes, actually. They tie it in pretty nicely."

Two questions, sorry if they have been asked
1. When we import a shep, can we customize hair and such without having to RESTART the shepard, like importing ME1 shep to ME2 shep.
2. Are the "complete armor" armor sets (the one that comes as one whole, IE blood dragon, inferno, terminus, defender, etc) custom-izable in respect to color?
"Yes.
I don't have enough money to buy one, but I'll let you know once I do."
Dry County wrote...
These questions may have already been answered, but...
1) A number of people have noted that the voices don't match the mouth animations. Is that something he noticed? If so, did it ever stop?
2) How's the facial animations?
"No. They ironed all that out.
Same as in the other games; I don't notice much of a difference."

ta for this
1.what does the lounge actually do
2.do squad members have personal missions again like the loyalty missions in 2edit:3 do all squad members have a casual outfit or just the humans
"Destroys Harbinger. Kidding. I don't know what you're talkign about.
Not yet, thank goodness.
Unfortunately, no. Poor Garrus is going to chafe."
Xero759 wrote...
Were you able to start using gear from ME2 early on in the game? Or have you had to go and re-buy pieces of equipment? Any word if the collector armor or terminus armor are useable even if you didn't have them in ME2?
"You have to re-buy everything.
I don't know about collector armor, but yes, terminus is."
warriorN7 wrote...
have you played the dlc and is it important to the game as a hole
"The DLC from EM1 doesn't play a role, but the DLC from ME2 absolutely does. Very important."

1. Is the Normandy has large has it was in Mass Effect 2?
2.Do you notice that you don't have has many squadmayes has in Mass Effect 2?
3. Do you have to get the loyalty of people even if you already got their loyalty in previous games?
4.Does the weight system and your health not regenerating effect the overall gameplay?
5. Do decisions have a large impact?
6. Will you have to redo the romance process on your previous romantic partner?
7. Is there more interactivity on the Normandy?
THANKS!!!!
"Yes. With an accessable shuttle bay to beat.
It is noticeable. I miss my dozen choices.
Again, no loyalty missions.
It does, but the effect isn't massive.
Definitely. Lives hang ni the balance.
No, you start off all lovey-dovey and go from there.
Yes, more terminals and switches than ever.
matt-bassist wrote...
wow thanks so much for answering all these questions!
i just have 3 small ones -
1. does he feel like the intro is rushed?
2. are previous choices from ME1 and ME2 brought up at all during the intro?
3. does he feel like moving between areas (like going from the Normandy to a planet) is more immersive than ME2?
Thanks!
I don't think it was as rushed as it was hammy and Michael-Bay-inspired, but yeah, a bit.
During the intro? I don't think so, no.
It's still done by shuttle intro, so no, not especially."

1) Can you customize your companions' armor pieces and mod their weapons, or is it like ME2?
2) Do weapons have more than 2 mod slots?
3) Have there been any very difficult/morally challenging decisions to make?
"You can't customize their armor, but you can mod their weapons.
Nope.
Difficult, no. I guess theyr'e supposed to be, but sometimes, I just don't care what the Salarians think."
double02 wrote...
1) Which weapons is he using as of now?
2) Overall impression of the game, thus far?
Thanks in advance.
"I'm using the Claymore shotgun and the standard pistol.
Bioware's always been great at storytelling and character development, and ME3 is no exception. It's immersive and it's epic. I can't shake this feeling, though, that the game lost a bit of its soul once EA got involved. James Vega is a good example."

Whew! And with that, it's back to the salt mines for me. Ever more schoolwork waiting. I'll catch you guys again on the 6th, when it's everyone's turn to save the world.
