I don't think they are. you just need to pay attention to them.

Seems kind of silly to say "X isn't overpowered as long as you play as the class that can kill it". I dunno.

my hatred for them fuels my character's synchronization with me even more. The hatred makes me put up with things in the game that tick me off or would make me re think my strategy and i just bet everything on killing that piece of @#%! I usually biotic charge one up close then slash at it with slayer escape from it when it recovers and phase it to death. But that was then, now i has assasin and i just mine the poor bastard.

 To me, the only "OP" thing about them is the ability to snipespam with the phase disruptor.  Everything else (barrier, bubble, cloak, instakill, agility, etc), I'm totally okay with.  But its just the fact that they can keep spamming Phase Disruptor with pinpoint accuracy, doing tons of damage, from clear across the map.

Everything else is easily dealt with, except there's virtually NOTHING you can do about that stupid laserspam.
