Greetings All,

So I've started playing the human infiltrator recently. While sniping is what carried me through ME2 Insanity, I'm not really feeling it in ME3 multiplayer. So I've been rocking shotgun (katana, scimitar too weak atm) and pistol (carnifex). It is really, really fun.

My question is, where do I put all of my points? So far I have:
Tac Cloak: 5. Rank 6 doesn't really help me because I don't use a sniper, and I don't use Cryo Blast.
Cryo Blast: 1. Doesn't seem that great. Is it?
Sticky Grenade: 4. Maybe this was a foolish buy, but I like grenades. I've gotten a decent amount of kills with them.
Alliance Training: max.
Fitness: 2.

I also have the Salarian unlocked but I am not using him much. "Dude just use Salarian, Energy Drain is sweet" is actually helpful feedback, but I am interested in seeing how this human thing plays out. If you have any build tips for human or Salarian CQC Infiltrator, please help me out!

Well. If you're not sniping, I suppose you are one of those close combat Infiltrators who charge into battle cloaked to stab people with bayonets before shredding their friends with shotgun blasts. In that case, I'd recommend more points in Fitness, as you're bound to take some hurt in the process.

Also, Grenade. Continue skilling it - it can be quite useful against armoured targets (there's bonus damage in the tree!), even moreso when you're operating way closer to the enemy than my sniper. Against Atlases, it's the small man's Widow, at least that was the impression I got from trying out both. Could well be that grenades do even more damage than the rifle.

I don't know much about the skills, but you should use just one weapon, because two increase the cooldowns considerably.

In ME2, Cryo Blast was mostly a hindrance. Frozen enemies would fall over behind cover and be out of line of fire. If they had shields. armor, or a barrier, forget about it. In ME3, it's a lot better. Still has the issue of falling over behind cover, but if someone else is close by it gives them an easy target. Protected enemies still won't freeze, but they get a movement debuff which can open them up for a few free shots. At the end of the line, there is an armor debuff that works great against Atlases (especially when your team is out of rockets). How to build up Cryo Blast is hard to advise. I went with area of effect and duration upgrades to use it as an area deterrent. Follow up with a grenade and you can take out a good number of people in one shot.

Even if cryo is better in ME3, you should skip it, zero points. You will want to stealth as often as you can and if you use cryo you cant stealth till your cool down timer finishes. Stealth, sticky grenades, everything else maxed out however.

Go for the cool down bonuses in all trees when ever they pop up, again you want to be able to stealth again as fast as possable.

As for your grenades, I went with the option that turns them into proximity mines for 15 seconds, great for laying traps and covering your flanks, also tossing one doesnt drop you out of stealth.

I have to disagree. I find that 10 enemies that can't do anything is a lot better than 5 that can still see you even when cloaked.

Ok, I logged into my infiltrator and took a better look at the tree and have revised suggestions for you.

Take your tac cloak to 6, the top ability lets you fire off 1 ability with out breaking stealth, that would be for your cryo.

Take cryo to 3.

Max out your sticky grenades, I suggest the bottom options for 4, 5 and 6, massive damage if not kills over a wide area, great for traps, course you will only have 2 so place them well when you have them.

For alliance training, max it out. At level 4 take the bottom option, 5 and 6 take the top two. This will let you carry more boost your cryo's power and decrease the weight of ALL weapons

For Fitness take it to 5, take the bottom two options on levels 4 and 5, the recharge deley decrease and the health and shield bonus will be critical for you. I would suggest it even if you plan on melee'ing a lot as it will get you back into action faster.

Weapon wise, I personaly dont like shotguns to much and would recomend SMG's and Heavy pistols, but if you like shot guns feel free to use them.  Keep an eye on your weight, the less of it you use up the faster your powers recharge.

I wouldn't know. I'm going with Salarian Infiltrator. I highly recommend you try it if you ever luck out and unlock it.

Personally as an Infiltrator I hate the cyro blast and I would get everything except that.

I just use cryo blast because I got the tactical cloak rank that let me use a power when cloaked and grenades can be used without breaking cloak by default. Since you're running around shotgunning it's not bad to get a target to stand still first. It also slows down Nemesis but not by much. Those things move too much.

Even if they fall over behind cover, they're still out of the fight for a bit.

I've got Tac Cloak 6, Sticky Grenade 3 , Cryoblast 3, Alliance Training 5, Fitness 6.  Weapons-wise, I use my sniper almost exclusively.  I also like to mix it up with grenades and meat popsicles.
