The scanning looks much better. The system was fine in ME2 apart from the tedious mineral gathering which has been removed. All that's left is treasure hunting and side questing, which are the most fun parts of the game for me.
This, I agree

The thing is, I used to respect you as a poster, Phaedon. Even when I didn't agree with you, you at least didn't resort to labeling people and came up with good constructive points and counter-arguments. Somewhere along the line you changed, and while I may be arrogant when it comes to expressing things from my side of the fence, I think you're no better from over your side.
Well it's hard being serious here sometimes when so very few are themselves.

Hypocrisy. You are claiming that I am attacking your viewpoint for not sucking the genitalia of various parties. I do not. This is just another "Everyone who doesn't agree with me are Biodrones" post hidden behind not actually that fancy words.Terror_K wrote...
That's rich coming from one of the main people responsible from turning this thread away from the point and into "Terror is complaining, let's just rag on him because he doesn't suck the BioWare phallus."
I am pointing out the glaring flaws in your argument, and noticing the pattern in your threads, as I must, should I choose not to be a mindless drone. You disagree with this approach then? You'd rather your rants weren't argued against? Well, yes, I bet you do.
I am posting your recent thread history and noticing the pattern. It is valid and it is factual.Which is hardly constructive and just another juvenile case of rolling your eyes at me for not loving every decision BioWare make lately.
BSN is not your personal toy for whenever you feel the need to vent. If you feel a need to not construct intelligent arguments but shout uncontrollably, I'd suggest investing in a swear jar.
The feeling was never mutual, sorry. The thing is, I used to respect you as a poster, Phaedon.

If that's the point you were trying to make then you failed. Any time you resort to harsh or vulgar language, ANY time you resort to insults, you invalidate your position. Whatever that position may have been, regardless of its merit, its meaning is GONE.
No one, absolutely NO ONE, will change their opinion because you insulted them. Your mistake was in calling people Biodrones without substantiation. Your mistake was in resorting to insults instead of clearly and respectfully voicing your annoyance.
This is the proper way to express your dissatisfaction. I believe I just about cover your greivance in that post.
Unfortunately for you, you and you alone grouped yourself with the trolls of this forum. You adopted their line and you adopted their mannerisms. You cannot blame Phaedon and others for coming to the conclusion they did based on the evidence you yourself provided.

So... according to this video from IGN showing the galaxy map, not only do we have to still scan planets and not only do we still stupidly pilot the Normandy around like a little toy ship, but on top of that we now have to scan the areas between planets as well?! Seriously?
Gotta say... confidence that this final part will actually be good when you don't seem to have learned from what sucked about ME2 isn't high, BioWare.
Personally I think the scanning in ME3 looks like a big improvement.
For starters scanning the entire system ("areas between planets" as you put it) means there is a lot less area to cover (I'm talking in game rather than reality obviously) than if you still had to scan every planet in the system. Secondly, if you do have to scan one of the planets, you have a guide towards whatever you are searching for. Lastly, it doesn't look like there will be a ridiculous amount of things to find per system, which should prevent it from being too tedious.

Of course it's hypocrisy in that case. That was kind of the point, if only for that post (and perhaps this one). Also, I don't believe I've ever used the term "Biodrones" before, so where you got that from escapes me.
Also, have you even read the arrogance within your own posts... with your little, "Ah, look. My little test subject is functioning right on schedule according to my impeccable calculations" attitude.
And what I'd prefer is that any points I bring up be countered with productive discussion instead of snide little digs just because of who I am. Attack the points, not the one who made them. I suppose you'd consider this hypocrisy on my part too right now, but alas, pointing that out is the point of this post.
I am posting your recent thread history and noticing the pattern. It is valid and it is factual.
And there we are again... the arrogance. If there's any reason for a so-called "pattern" to my posts, it's because of what these forums have degraded into. There's only so much blind defending of bad decisions, rampant fanboyism and circular illogic that one can take before they just think, "Y'know... screw this. Sick of repeating myself and getting nowhere. Bye."
BSN is not your personal toy for whenever you feel the need to vent. If you feel a need to not construct intelligent arguments but shout uncontrollably, I'd suggest investing in a swear jar.
Funny, considering how many have felt that my arguments are generally well done, despite not even always agreeing with them. I'm not saying that they all are and I don't get angry and just vent or rant a little, but still... I don't just bash for the sake of bashing. I suppose you missed my review of the demo which had just as many positive points as negative.
The problem here, of course, lies with the fact that:
So, what's up, doc?
- The rant was written and posted by you.
- I, for some reason, felt the urge to respond to it with an intelligent argument
- You decided not to reply to that argument.
- You feel special as opposed to the mainstream crowd.
- You respond with an attack to my person instead of argument.
1. Fair nuff. Can't argue that.
2. Re-read so-called "intelligent argument" of yours again. There's not much to it beyond, "no, you're wrong" and then a little snide and arrogant remark at the bottom.
3. Oh, I'm sorry! I'm sorry I must spend every moment waiting for the great and mighty Phaedon to post, hitting F5 every few seconds to make sure he does so that I may respond to his greatness! I'm sorry that when I have other things to do or am in other topics that I am not serving the master!
4. I don't feel special at all. Quite the opposite actually. The fact you think I do just shows how little you really understand.
5. ****** for tat basically. Wouldn't have happened had the stone not already been cast.

@Terror: Your initial post, as I already pointed out, made absolutely no sense whatsoever. You can't really blame others for assuming you were trolling when you post such an illogical OP that sounds so very much like baseless whining.
@Daddy: You're doing it again.
@Everyone else: Good job staying on topic.
Look at it this way guys; you're all mad at each other for exactly the same reason. Logical failure. Terror and Daddy feel that "sucking up to Bioware" is idiotic and they cite a myriad of illogical arguments made by fans in defense of Bioware as readily available evidence.
Phaedon and others feel that people like Terror create baseless and illogical threads complaining about every little thing that has ever passed through the rumor mill about ME3 and they cite a myriad of readily available examples as evidence.
Here's a funny thought: YOU'RE BOTH RIGHT. Both sides have done about equal shares of this type of argument making. Defenders of Bioware are Biodrones and detractors are haters and trolls. In most cases both sides have come to equally illogical conclusions and have defended these conclusions with illogical rationale.
For the purpose of continued coexistence, I really think we should just agree to disagree until the game drops.
