So... according to this video from IGN showing the galaxy map, not only do we have to still scan planets and not only do we still stupidly pilot the Normandy around like a little toy ship, but on top of that we now have to scan the areas between planets as well?! Seriously?

Gotta say... confidence that this final part will actually be good when you don't seem to have learned from what sucked about ME2 isn't high, BioWare.

Wow, does everybody **** over nothing as much as you? This looks LEAGUES better than what was in ME2. Infinite probes? Good, I hated wasting money on those things. An automatic scanner so you don't have to visit every planet? Great. I only wonder how they'll handle the surprise side quests that you found upon exploring some planets. But this looks so much better and a lot more efficient. I only wish they had shown what happens if you are caught be the Reapers. But I like what I saw.

It seems quite... bare-bones, if you ask me. It /looks/ worse in that sense, yes, because of the giant empty space on the right half of the screen when scanning the darn planet, but otherwise, the system is fine. Don't know why exactly why they added in the sonar-thing, as it doesn't seem to add anything but a chance for the Reapers to chase you.

Maybe it's mandatory to find the planets with anomalies? And the probe is just the "activation" flag of a mission?

I dunno. Seems redundant to me.

Essentially this.  It's an improvement over the negative component that is planet scanning but it's still not a positive.

What are you trying to do, Ghost? Hmm?

Ping. I'm searching the galaxies for war pews. What are you trying to do, bboynexus?

PING. PING. PING.

UH OH. I HURD THE REAPER TOOT AGAIN

You used to be a bit more articulate.  Can we go back to that?

Did you even watch it? It would take all of 20 seconds to cover each system with the pulses, then you visit any anomaly you want. Then you have to launch ONE probe on a planet. I think what you're trying to say is thank you for streamlining the scanning process, because now it takes a fraction of the time.

Or.... just mindless complaining, maybe I'm wrong.

I, for one, love that they stripped away any relevant time consumption, making the whole process to-the-point and defined.

It looks great! I'm so glad we don't have to use the mako anymore. Driving through that straight tunnel on Ilos took me a good 20 minutes.

Lucky you, I forgot I brought the mako on Ilos (don't ask how) and I walked the whole way my first run.

Longest f***in trek EVAR! (I did that too).

You know, in between your pointless whining you do make valid points sometimes. Unfortunately, this time it's all whining.

While I'm still not a fan of the new scanning system, it's definitely an improvement over ME2.

It's harder than you think. The only game I remember having any good mini-games was DE:HR

The hacking?  Seriously?  That was insanely tedious after about, oh, one.

Yes, and yes.

Oh, and didy, your pride is just as misplaced as I remembered. I'll give you a hint, it doesn't belong in an internet forum!

I too despise the toy Normandy. Seriously BioWare.....*sigh*...not the end of the world but honestly, did enough people actually like piloting the Normandy around like that to warrant them including it in ME3? I find it hard to believe.

I facepalmed pretty hard after I heard Ashley say "Who votes to take the tank down the long hallway?" my second run.

It seems far less tedious to me.

But, hey, BSN knows all.

Ya I have to agree, it not nearly as bad as it was in ME2, I'm just a bit disapointed we didnt get the mako or hamerhead back.

I made a very big facepalm after I heard Ashley say "Who votes to take the tank down the long hallway?"

I was halfway down the tunnel when she said that. I shrugged it off and walked the rest of the way anyway lol

Mako or Hammerhead...exploration? No! That's too much for the pew-pew crowd! It would scare them! If you have the game throw goodies at you for pressing a button, now, THAT's more like it!

NOTHING is as bad as planet scanning in ME2. Then again that scanning is almost a rehash so maybe it'll be just as monotonous.

So you prefer ME1's load screen between every system?

Wich load screen? Sometimes I see them for about 2 seconds, no more than that.
PC version of the game, don't know how the XBox is.
The load screen is too long on the console?

Yes, is a genuine question, I'm not trying to start the console x PC war and if people want to start one, please, stop and go away.

As for scanning Terror_K the best thing to ask is: it would be random? Because if it's random the addition is good, but if it's like ME2, is bad.
Scan the same planet for the same thing over and over again.

Glad your game was ruined.
