If you have the game throw goodies at you for pressing a button, now, THAT's more like it!

Yeah, just like all those planets and asteroids you could survey in ME1 without having to land.

Tali and a recon team have been sent to that random asteroid. They discovered, guess what, metals. They have sent them back to the Normandy for analysis. Isn't this type of exploration interactive and not half-assed, Commander?

Now, sit back and watch how many pills are consumed by elitists who just discovered that the "Survey" button was ME1"s "Awesome" button.

You forgot the part where you painstakingly comb the entire planet area with your radar in order to ensure no important items or locations are missed. That's the most time-consuming bit, right there.

Of course, we have the planet maps on the Mass Effect wiki to mitigate that NOW, but we shouldn't need that kind of thing just to blunt the buzzkill factor.

Yeah, ME1 had the worst minigames ever. I still have nightmares about finding rusted Salarian medals and lost texts of some matriarch in piles of garbage. We've come a long way since then.

And this is just from what I could find from his recent history. Too bad most gold threads are missing.

GET OVER THE FRIGGIN' OMNI-BLADE, BIOWARE. SERIOUS.

I'll give Terror this: he has mentioned neither Michael Bay nor the omni-blade in this topic.

It's like BioWare is stabbing me with an omni-blade while I'm tied to a chair and forced to watch a marathon of Michael Bay's most profitable films.

What annoys me is that when you scan a planet there is a big empty space on the right, where minerals were in ME2. It looks both ugly and lazy.

I'm guessing that most planets have some sort of description there. If not, then yeah, it seems lazy.

Seriously though, what genre of video games one chooses to play is hardly a reliable indicator of one's intellect.

The scanning looks much better. The system was fine in ME2 apart from the tedious mineral gathering which has been removed. All that's left is treasure hunting and side questing, which are the most fun parts of the game for me.

It just smells of trying too hard to be "badass and awesumz!!1"

At least it still has the, 'whatever I don't like is stupid and dumbed down', tone. We can be sure it's not an impostor.

So... according to this video from IGN showing the galaxy map, not only do we have to still scan planets and not only do we still stupidly pilot the Normandy around like a little toy ship, but on top of that we now have to scan the areas between planets as well?! Seriously?

Gotta say... confidence that this final part will actually be good when you don't seem to have learned from what sucked about ME2 isn't high, BioWare.

you forgot you scanned between planets as well in ME2?

you just moved around the map to detect something "blinking".
usually missions or asteroids full of resources.

I think, 6 or 8 pings can cover the whole solar system, and in the video reapers detected the Normandy after 9 or 10 pings.

There will be a full list of scannable objects in the Mass Effect Wiki, so it won't be difficult to find the most of it.

Insults abound on both sides while neither side recognizes that their position is untenable when using such tactics.

Quite literally 80% of your posts are about noting how many Biodrones there are, Ringo.
I have never seen you raise a serious argument. Take this as an invitation to the creation of one.

Otherwise, this just reaffirms that you are the real reason for the end of the Beatles. :?
