I honestly don't understand people who say "No leave it to my imagination".

In that case why bother making games at all?

Petition Bioware to give up on games and concentrate on books.

Games exist to give us an interactive VISUAL experience.

This.

While it is far too late at this point to campaign for Bioware to go in either direction, I hope they made the decision to show her.

The whole galaxy knows what Quarians look like under the helm. Shepard should too.

No matter what happens, some segment of the Tali fanbase will be disappointed.

If it's left a mystery, the majority of the fanbase will be disappointed.

If she is supermodel gorgeous, the "nerd sexy" crowd will be disappointed.

If she's nerd sexy, the supermodel crowd will be disappointed.

If she's rather plain, the two above categories will be disappointed.

If she's not alien enough, the "make her alien" crowd will be disappointed.

If she's not absolutely hideous, the "Cull the ranks of the pretender Talimancers so only the True Believers who love her for her personality will remain" crowd will be disappointed. (Yeeeaaah, that group weirds me out. :? )

Bioware really shot themselves in the foot by doing that damn annoying Unreveal in the Talimance consummation in ME2 IMO.  They could have settled it before the Tali fan crowd got even more avid after ME2.

I agree. By not revealing Tali in ME2 Bioware sort of painted itself into a corner. Regardless of what it does now there will be Nerd Rage. If Tali had been revealed in ME2 those that didn't approve may have complained some, but they would have just romanced someone else and moved on. Now that they locked in with Tali as a romance option for two games the disappointment is going to be that much more pronounced if the reveal (or lack of it) doesn't meet expectations.

The biggest argument for not revealing Tali, aside from not having to devote additional time and resources to designing the character, is that by not revealing her you don't run the risk of angering fans who had different expectations for how she should look. While that argument may have had some merit in ME2, going forward I no longer think it does. Far too many people are expecting the final payoff of the Tali romance to be her reveal. Not revealing her at this point is as all but guaranteed to generate as many (and probably more) complaints as revealing her.

With that in mind I think Bioware should just go ahead and reveal her. The Talimancers that like her appearance will feel rewarded, and those that don't will be disappointed. But the disappointment will be no worse than if she isn't revealed. The only difference is that not revealing her rewards no one.

I can confirm that you DO see Tali's face in Mass Effect 3.

After you complete her romance subplot she gives you a present; a picture of herself without her mask.

I have the official strategy guide.

I hope we actually get to see her take off her helmet instead of just seeing her face as a picture

Prepare for disappointment.

That probably doesn't bode well for those who want Tali to look like an alien.

Someone posted in another thread that the guy who designed this fan art was hired by Bioware. If that is true, the picture is probably going to be of Tali looking nearly identical to a human.

Even if the race WAS attractive.... It should probably look pretty pale and sickly after living completely in suits for multiple generations.
As much as I want to see their faces, I might be a bit disappointed if she comes out wearing makeup.

As I found out Cute actually means Ugly but Interesting... certaintly hope Kasumi wasn't hinting at something.

That is false.

Also, that piece of fan art is not a quarian, it's obviously a human in a quarian suit.

Three fingers, backwards legs, two fingered feet, pale skin, strong sence of disinfection, hairless, glowing eyes, no ears, dextro-protein based species ... on a scale of creepines from 1 to 10, I would give them 12.

Yeah, I dont think I want to see them. I would rather french kiss a turian ...

I agree - If someone could post even a screenshot that'd be nice. I cancelled my pre-order, but this is the only thing that still holds my curiosity in ME3.

I like how seeing her face sounds optional and is hidden behind her romance subplot. Seems like the best way to please the side that doesn't want to see her and the side that absolutely must see her. You can choose to romance her or not, and choose to look at her picture or not.

I agree - If the ending rumors are true, I wonder why they were so willing to accommodate both sides of the mask issue and yet not the fate of the squad. That's a debate for another thread, however. :)

I heard that if you choose peace or the Quarians over the Geth....you get to see her face. I think you see it whether you romanced her or not.

According to Tank over at SA the most she does is give you a picture of herself without her mask.

Yes, we heard this... Anyone actually have a screenshot? If there's a lens flare or whatever that's fine, I just want to see the full extent of what is revealed.

Also, a lens flare apparently obscures almost all of it.

Yep.

We don't ever see her face, apparently. We might see other Quarians, but not Tali.

I'm sure someone will extract that model/texture on the photo frame and post it on here anyway, though. Though I think the actual photo is lens-flared, too. BW are sneaky like that.
