As long as they had ME3 in reserve they were safe. Considering the battering they have taken , even if it does not adversly affect ME3 it will the next title.

I can't think of any other time where someone has crapped on an early release rather than play it.

If you don't like their products, then yeah don't buy them. I still think they are doing a good job.

I could have enjoyed the game more hadn't it been for Hawke. He is seriously the worst protagonist that I've played.

2.15 million reported retail copies. VGChartz only tracks physical media from retail outlets that report numbers to them. They do not track digital distribution. And they won't have full global distribution numbers as there are multiple global retailers that do not report any data to them. And they have none of the numbers from Origin on SWTOR.

2.15 million copies is a lot of boxes retail alone. I would estimate, in the extreme low end scenario, there is probably an additional 1 million digital distributions unaccounted for globally. So in an extremely low end estimate you're looking at 3.15 million box sales. With a potential retention rate of around 50% thats still 1.7 million subscribers/ You must be one of those people that think WoW has had 11 million subscribers since November of 2004 or something.

Anyways you can ignore the upper two paragraphs cause they don't really mean anything cause at the end of the day you'll believe whatever you want to believe and thats all good.

Ray and Greg seem pretty happy with where they are right now, pretty sure they know a lot more about the situation at BioWare than anyone slopping their angst out here on the Social Network.

That shows is that KOTOR is bleeding players badly.

No one is going to say "My product is a fail" lol

Unless there's some serious convincing, I'm done after Mass Effect 3.

I'm hoping they pick up KOTOR 3 as a project. I can only imagine what they can do with a more RPG and combat centered game (much different then a MMO focused game) with modern technology..

I hope Obsidian does. Obsidian did a far better job with Kotor than Bioware.

This.

Why did they take away our Wardens? Why? He didn't do anything wrong.

Obsidian need to shake that rep for buggy titles. There is a lot of good stuff in Obsidian games. But you have to put with a lot to discover it.

DS 3 was fine, great story for a dungeons hack. But it was also a relatively "simple" game. I'd have to see something similar in design to AP before I could say I'm fully confident. LOVED FO3:NV though despite the issues.

Well thats fine and all but I'm very bored of Biowares generic story. Only YOU can save the world, galaxy, Ferelden from total disaster! Obsidian did something different and did a great job, Lucas Arts just forced them to finish early, hell Revan is awesome because of Obsidian. Yes creating my own Dark Lord is great and all but Obsidian took a step further by making him go to dark space. The wound in the force is way more interesting then a faction at war with another. The story was great and not only that they had better characters. Who doesn't like Atton and Kreia is amazing. The influence system is still better than anything Bioware has done. They added force forms, saber forms, prestige classes and abilites, more skill checks and better crafting.

I'm not saying Kotor 2 was with out its problem but clearly Obsidian did a great job definitely much better than Bioware did and definitely a better story imo. Obsidian wanted to patch in all the missing content (have you read whats missing its awesome and there are some good mods to patch in a lot already) but Lucas Arts wouldn't let them but even with their half finished ending Obsidian released a better game.

Well at least bugs can be fixed, yes they do need to work on QA testing, but a generic story can't.

I've heard some good things about Alpha Protocol, I do want to give that a try someday. I enjoyed what I played of FO: NV but I couldn't get into it too much. The 5 year old graphics kind of took me out of the experience so I couldn't finish it.

I liked him a lot.

I played him like this guy who doesn't take anything seriously. It was pretty fantastic. Also what's great about DA2 is that you can't always win.

So true. They won't even merge servers because of negative attention I bet. The "story" that Bioware was trying to do with Old Republic is NO enough or even good enough to make players forget that there is no content. Yes I said no content. Say what you will about WoW and its crap load of content Vanilla WoW took MONTHS to get to level 60 and this was their saving grace. Because it took months to get to 50 and even it took even more time to gear 40 people for raids players were busy. I managed to get to 50 really fast during my vacation. It's surprising how little to no grind there is. I never have to work for anything its just handed to me. With out the grind people reached the cap too fast and now they are bored with nothing to do.

Well BW have given me some great games so it will take a lot of hurt to turn me from them.

Admittedly DA:2 still hurts but i still have ME2 to get through before ME3 so i still have plenty of faith in them........for now :P

Dragon Age 2 was pretty good in my opinion, it doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

I don't even take all the criticisms seriously at this point. It sounds like everyone is just reiterating what they've heard.

DA2 deserves what it gets.  If it was good enough, it would at least have more supporters to detract from the people that dislike it.

Or it's just another case of bandwagon syndrome. Just like how everyone is praising Skyrim and hardly anyone is negative... when there are a lot of negative things about it, but hey opinions are fun.

Ironically, the WoW squatters who left claimed they hated the easy leveling of Warcraft today. They then jumped ship when it became apparent that SWTOR had that easy grind and hopped back to WoW.

Really not... Anyone who half asses it with one map of each area and then does not even have the sense to edit the mini map really do deserve what they get.

As does anyone who only reveals a feature that they would have known about for months is missing the night before launch.

I wish I had the patience to rewrite all the long posts I wrote on BSN as to why Hawke is an imbecile and why a "rise to power" never occurred (rather, it was a stumbling on fame). And ends the mage/Templar threat? Thedas is in war because of the mage / templar threat. He doesn't end anything, nor does he start anything.

Dude, it was awful. They removed your Warden completely. Why? What did your Grey Warden ever do to warrent his removal from the entire game? Mass Effect let us transfer Shepard. They already had the means to do it. Imagine if they had done this with Mass Effect. They took Shepard and replaced him with a guy named "Chase" and just did not tell you what happened. That'd be pretty damn disapppointing.

Bioware games in 5 years will be a a space orgy with grenades and one conversation option, to get more you'll have to buy the life size sex doll of Miranda and Shepherd's love child!

Not saying it didn't have problems but when the same criticisms isn't being applied to other games suffering from similar problems its frankly ridiculous.
