Nothing throughout ME3's development has swayed me.

I almost feel sorry for them, but then I remember that I'll be playing a kick ass game soon & they'll just be still whining on BSN!

DA2 deserves what it gets. If it was good enough, it would at least have more supporters to detract from the people that dislike it.jreezy wrote...
I don't even take all the criticisms seriously at this point. It sounds like everyone is just reiterating what they've heard.Ivoryhammer wrote...

Im just wondering what new franchise Bioware will come up with.
After all ME3 is the last of the series, and they killed dragon age themselves with that abysmal sequel.
Dragon Age 2 was pretty good in my opinion, it doesn't deserve the hate it gets.
Or it's just another case of bandwagon syndrome. Just like how everyone is praising Skyrim and hardly anyone is negative... when there are a lot of negative things about it, but hey opinions are fun.
Really not... Anyone who half asses it with one map of each area and then does not even have the sense to edit the mini map really do deserve what they get.
As does anyone who only reveals a feature that they would have known about for months is missing the night before launch.
Not saying it didn't have problems but when the same criticisms isn't being applied to other games suffering from similar problems its frankly ridiculous.
Well... DA2 was pretty much on it's own with much of it's problems and thus it should be on it's own on the criticism front as well. Quite frankly, other games didn't suffer from the same embarassing problems that DA2 did. By way of all the hype before the release (kind of like here before the release of Mass Effect 3), one would have expected the game to be a rather successful hit. Turned out just the opposite.
Skyrim may have had it's own problems, and myself, I found the game flat out boring. Nevertheless, I would still consider Skyrim to be miles ahead of DA2. Skyrim had flaws and plenty of bugs, but at least it didn't turn expectations sour. There is no excuse for some of the problems they injected into DA2, they deserved the criticism (in a healthy way).

And then DA2 came along and gave me a kick in the nuts.
Then we have ME2>3 continuation of storyline need for metagaming to have an inkling on what the hell is happening. We have a novel thats a lore and ingame setting disaster to the point of having to retract it and apologize to the fans. We have a prothean teammate that makes zero sense in the ingame universe.
Im still hopefull about Bioware... But I am in no way a gung ho fanboi anymore. If they do not shape up the storytelling they will be left at the mercy of the pew pew crowd. And those are fickle... at best.

What "Mass Effect fallout?"
From what I gather people are jazzed as hell over this game, and it's not even out yet.
Mass Effect Fallout!?!1!
Two of my favorite games in one!?!
I'll preorder in a heartbeat!

Nothing form the ME3 launch (so far) has changed my opinion of BioWare.
DA2 is another matter though..

Me too.
By the way, I'll be checking Witcher 2 out when it comes to consoles. I hope they don't remove too much from it, I fear they'll censor the nude scenes or something. I mean... I don't REALLY care much of it, but I always found it strange that people find two nude people more disgusting than someone's head getting chopped off.
But I'm getting sidetracked now...
Yeah. We want boobs, dammit!
Aheam.

As for someone taking a dump on ME3, that's more of a symptom of the psychosis that is the BioWare fandom. If you really think about it and you're honest with yourself, you'll know that aside from some issues that people can have a reasonable argument about, such as the From Ashes DLC, Origin, and things like that (I've played the demo and as far as I'm concerned, anyone who loved ME2 has nothing to complain about from the ME3 demo, and the ME3 multiplayer is awesome), there's really no reason to do something as mental as drop a load on a game and take a photo of it unless you really are mental, lonely, and honestly a bit sociopathic.
Honestly, at this point BioWare is simply a victim of their own success. They write great stories, make great games, and take risks. They also make mistakes because hey, they're human, but because of their success people want to tear them down for it. By the way they act around here, it's probably something they're used to, and something they're not overly concerned about.

Fighting Brayko was the single most enjoyable boss fight I've ever had.
Are you a masochist ?
Granted a lot can change depending on the build , but having someone "teleport" in a game without a method is too much.
Brayko would use the flash of the disco ball to conceal his movements at times. There was an occassion where the flash happened, but I was still able to make out Brayko running to another area to take me on. Also keep in mind that you're fighting a guy who's higher than a kite and is also ignorant to any pain that's inflicted on him in such a state. Most bosses in the game you can engage with melee combat, but Brayko nearly shrugs everything off. That is an intelligent and inventive method of making a boss hard/difficult. I love that game.

Dragon Age 2 was a good game. If it was made by any other developer it would have been heralded as one of the best RPGs of the year, if not several years, despite the recylced maps fiasco, but because BioWare has the worst fans in the world, it was made out to be some hunk of crap. People laud Alpha Protocol around here as a diamond in the rough. I own Alpah Protocol, and I freakin' love Alpha Protocol, but the truth is, if Alpha Protocol was a BioWare title, "fans" probably would have been setting themselves on fire in protest. Unfortunate, but Dragon Age 2 was mostly killed by hype, not by design.

That was a good post. Keep writing those.
In other words: I agree.
And, I should try Alpha Protocol.
