I truly believe the engineer would be the most wanted team member if "Hack' was an ability in multiplayer. Just think about it. Just imagine hacking the enemy engineer's turret and using it against him and his evil buddies. Probably op, but damn would it be fun to turn the tables.
Oh god Im salivating at the thought of it. Thoughts?

I don't think it would be overpowered if you could only do it one at a time... and not against an Atlas. Engineers & Sentinels do need some type of upgrade, because I can't see many of the more casual players liking them over some of the other classes/aliens.

Isn't that a sabotage ability (Quarian Infiltrator if I'm not mistaken). I for one would want the engineer to have the ability to hack mission objectives from far away (since some of the points are placed in a middle of enemies... but not too far though or else it will be easy).

they changed it to sabotage I think based on the demo. Managed to hack the turret in the campaign demo using an engineer.

Sabotage in ME 3 is Hack AI and Sabotage from ME 1 combined.

It would be too situational against some enemies and overpowered against others. Against Cerberus or Husks it would be almost useless. Against the Geth it would be ridiculous. It wouldn't be worth a power, honestly.

If it works on Turrets and atllases then it will definatley not be useless against cerebrus.

I asked the nice lady with a big a sword. But she must not know her own strength cuz instead of pinching me, she sliced me in half. She then preceded to pinch all my friends. I don't think my friends ever asked to be pinched though......

It would be way overpowered if it worked on Atlas's. It takes 4 players a while to kill one of those and hacking one would guarantee you absolutely no work for the rest of the round.

Engineers, at least human variety, don't need hack. Their power selection is already ideal.

It does not work on Atlas but it does work on Turrets.

Basically it's a large AoE with a quick cooldown.

Anything without shields and a gun has their gun explode (for quite a bit of damage and a stun) then next time they fire it.

Against synthetic enemies the hack works through shields.

it won't work against atlases as they are controlled by a person, only turrets i would say

I agree. Chain overload...and fire...and a drone. The quarians turret could use a little more durability but other than that engineers are fine.

That would be a cool power, but as it is I think the engineer is the most powerful guy on the battlefield (with the exception of a Vanguard in very competent hands). The combination of Overload and Incinerate is brutal. Add in tech drone (which is good, at least, for taking out Guardians) and now other class can come close.
