Wow. Of all the worlds, of all the races, of all the things yet to be explored, of all the civilizations that live and co-exist with each other, the one planet we must take back above all else, is the one with that has NO aliens what so ever. Earth, I'd save if Bioware didn't keep shoving your self-centered importance down our throats.
Burn you overrated blue ball.

Comments like this make me hope we don't make contact with alien species in our lifetime. Earth would be an alien colony in less than a year.
You see a trailer with families despairing, lovers dying in each others arms, people hiding for their lives, elderly being crushed by falling buildings and your reaction is "Who cares. Where are the aliens?"
Wow.

Umm......Shepard is HUMAN so it would make sense that s/he would make saving the HUMAN homeworld and the HUMAN race top priority. What good is saving Palaven or Thessia if most of the humanity is wiped out? Not much of a future for us is there?

That's because he's the guy in Independence Day standing atop one of the skyscrapers with his arms to the heavens waiting to "ascend" when the light finally comes down and incinerates everything within a 10 mile radius.

This game is the first time the series has even been to Earth. In fact, I distinctly remembering people wanting to visit Earth since the first game. We finally go there, and now people act like it's some horrible thing.

Reminds me a lot of the Deliver Hope trailers for Reach. I think the room with the weeping family is a recycle from Deliver Hope too. Also, when is teh launch trailer coming out!?!?!?
Wait where did Deliver Hope include weeping family? Are we talking about the same Delivery Hope?

Anyone else catch the Tupari drink ad in the one scene? Also, the news footage on the TV is the first "London" trailer. Re-watching again to see what else I can spot.
Maybe we should make a compilation of what we assume to be easter eggs.

I did not like this one at all, then again I don't like most of the live action trailers.
Though I really just don't like the "Take Earth back" stuff. I feel like the game would have a much more epic feel if it focused on the Galactic scale of everything.
I would have prefered this poster's silly marketing catch phrase

Break the Cycle > Take Earth Back
Also, it would lead to more epic looking trailers

Yeah, I caught that too the second time through. The only other thing I see is the cargo box at the clear beginning beside what I assume is a russian guy. I believe it's the standard cargo box that was scattered through the first Mass Effect, but I can't find a picture of it to compare with. Anyone else see it?

Wow.
When you create a universe, when you develop all these different races, when you give them all a unique identity, your gona anticipate that maybe, just maybe, they might be worth fighting for just as much as us. That's not what I'm seeing here. All these trailers and all these interviews all seem to focus on one thing. Humans vs. Aliens.
Again, I don't mind the idea of saving Earth. I really don't. It's just that.... I've saved Earth so many times in so many other games. And Earth in Mass Effect was never really an important element in the previous two games. Humanity and it's role in the galaxy was important. Earth is just a place of origin. We have other worlds colonized by humans, we have well established and prosperous world run by humans, and we have many planets inahbited by both humans AND other races.
But it all boils down to is this. The massive marketing campaign is choosing to ignore the very elements that make Mass Effect unique. It's alien characters. Even with the criticisms I had with Mass Effect 2 in having humanity be the main focus threat wise (REAPERS = WHOLE GALAXY), it did let you know that aliens were there all the way, and they were awesome looking. Here, just the invaders invading a human only world and that's important because....
I DON'T CARE. Earth doesn't make Mass Effect unique or interesting.
