Every game I join I get the type of lag where you shoot and then the damage is done a second after it hits, this can make it very hard to play. I assume this is because im joining games with hosts that are far away from me? But if thats the case then every single game ive played has the host very far away which seems sort of unlikely. I have all the proper ports open on my router and highspeed broadband internet if that makes a differance.

I live in alberta, canada so im wondering is there anyone else that lives around my area that has this type of lag? Or could it be a problem with the servers that is still getting fixed and it might be better at release?

Just for referance, I can usually play on any north american servers without a problem.

Thanks.

It would be probably a good idea to test your connection. Broadband doesn't mean much and can suck at times.
Do a speed test on several servers close to you and report the results.

I just tested it and it came out to around an average of 245mb/s and 19ms ping. Usually its enough to play North american servers. I just wish I new what the problem was so I could try some sort of fix.

Maybe if you host the games, you won't have as much lag?

I get lag more noticeably in the last week than when I first started playing.

Yea, I have lag and yet my connection is more than adequate.  Origin & ME3 Demo have access through my Firewall and I removed all protective features on my Router just to see if they were causing problems.

Long story short, I fight guys who show in one position on my client and the server thinks they are somewhere else but does not update my client on their true position so I am firing at them but my shots go right through them. I then see them zip 50 feet away when the server finally updates.

This is very bad when it happens on Gold, Any ideas how to fix this?

That sounds exactly like whats happening to me. I'm just hoping the servers might be better on release.
