The readiness system...

Deliver most of the Galaxy at War assets to the final conflict.
And that readiness thing is only in clusters, so when you go into one it has readiness on it.
Seriously relax....

True. That's what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping for a response from Gamble, Priestly or some of the other Bioware guys though, with a yes/no answer. Hoping..Arppis wrote...

Yeah, but that's the problem. That's what everyone's saying EXCEPT for the lead writer on the game. Which makes it hard to figure out who's right.
Maybe there is something nobody has noticed yet?
It just seems like such a major feature, and it's weird that we still know so little about it.

you improve readiness in SP BY DOING side quests - playing MP/IOS simply allows you to get the highest readiness while skipping side quests...SO if you do not play MP or IOS you essentially need to do all of the N7 mission to get best ending

There are two basic values for Galaxy at War: War Assets and Galactic Readiness. War Assets are obtained through single player (Fleets, weapons etc.) and all add to a score.
Now Galactic Readiness means how MUCH of your war assets can you use. For example, if I have 50% galactic readiness and 4000 points of war assets, I get 2000 points of war assets in the final battle. Galactic Readiness is 50% by default. You can raise it by playing multiplayer, IOS games, and (Unconfirmed) importing a character with a complete playthrough of ME1 and 2. However, every real life day, if your Galactic Readiness is above 50%, it will decrease by 1% every real life day until it reaches 50% again.
And before you ask, it has been said multiple times by devs you can still achieve the perfect ending with only 50% readiness. You just have to acquire nearly every, if not all, war asset in single player.

I heard someone say a while back that you can raise your readiness by 25% by importing a complete playthrough of the first two games. Otherwise, I don't know. Don't get your hopes up ^^The PLC wrote...
You just repeated everything that has already been said. I appreciate you're trying to help, but as it says in the OP, I already know how the system works. I just need to know if the ability to raise the readiness level is exclusive to the MP or not. Developers says that it can be raised in SP, while people with the game says the opposite.

Sorry, but nope. That's not what war assets does. Read my post for how it works. Unless you got a source contradicting me...Dreadwing 67 wrote...
The MP is called Galaxy at war, and it raises readiness by some factor. Other than that War assets will raise readiness every time you gain one in SP.

Where did you hear that? It makes a lot of sense, but I'm just wondering. There's like 20 different answers to this question all over the place.Dreadwing 67 wrote...

You just do all the SP missions (main and side) or as much as you want. Collect all you can and you should be fine. MP just helps reduce the number of side missions/ collection of war assets.
That is all you really need to know unless you plan on MP.

From all I read, that's exactly the simplifyed version. MP just reduces what you need to do in SP.

It just seems like such a major feature, and it's weird that we still know so little about it.
This actually makes me increasingly nervous. The fact that they've consistently refused to be forthcoming on this topic indicates to me that the answer is controversial and could affect preorder sales, and they'd rather sell you a copy and make you mad, than be honest and let you make your own judgement.
It's 2 weeks before release, and they still won't tell us if side missions that must be completed to get the best ending are randomized and hidden, requiring hours of searching.

They might tell you the night before if you are lucky. Or until the evidence is so overwhelming they have no choice.

Readiness is multiplayer only.
Obviously when the Dev said you can raise your readiness, he clearly meant that you can still get enough stuff for Galaxy at War
I don't get why you're so pushy about this, you can get the best ending just from the War Assets, so why does it matter if you can or can't raise your readiness? If you can, you can do a mission or something to get war assets OR you can do a mission or something to raise readiness. It would make no difference if you can or can't raise it in SP, as you can meet the same end regardless.
How about you just wait for the full game? Nobody has to give you answers in the first place, so how about just waiting and finding out for yourself?

I'm 'pushy' about this, because devs and people with the game are saying completely different things about this whole system. It's a pretty huge part of the game, which is why I care so much.

I think so too, because you can only do quests once. What if you take a break from the game? You spend your time for nothing.
UNLESS, there are "dailies".
