@ dweomer,

The point that I'm trying to make is that we have been told a bunch of lies with regards to the MP.

This one where they state that the readiness rating can be raised in SP mode, we of course know it cant and stays at 50%, if you dont play MP. The problem is that that halves our Total Military Strength to give us our EMS and thus the corresponding ending.

The other lie of course is that they said you don't need to play MP to get the best possible ending. The highest total military strength you can get is around 7500 by just playing SP and that is cut in half with a readiness rating of 50 %, thus not enough EMS for the best ending, ie wheere you see Shepard take breath at the end.

I am still waiting for a moderator or dev to respond? They wont, they know they have been caught out.

I dunno if it's "caught out", I mean, it's pretty obvious it's an ingenious form of DRM that also promotes play of a game that offers unlimited sales of virtual items for real world money.  I'm not surprised they've refrained from verbalizing their support and intention on this.

Plus, Shepard has been such a legendary character that his fate almost seems immaterial to how you feel about him at the end of the game. Hell, some players might prefer he off it. Right?

The sad fact is they have made statements pre-release and now....nothing. I dont mind the MP, I do mind the lies. Oh well.... I'll vote with my wallet in future, for what it's worth. Only language EA understands.

Then lets not even get started on the endings!!!!! LOL

So The PLC, you got an answer from the game`s lead writer confirming it, yet you still doubtÉ You consider the word of someone on teh forums claiming they have the game (which they don`t) is possibly mroe valid than teh game`s lead writer.

Can you or "game's lead writer" explain how to increase GR in SP then? Or are you both not understanding the question.

I raised (and now maintain) GR at 100% using the iPhone app. It was quite easy and am glad they added that as an option for someone like me that doesn't play MP.

What I would like to see though for the people that don't have iPhones is to change that Galaxy at War status indicator in your BSN Profile to a Flash app or something that works much the same as the iPhone app.

What I would like to see is a fix that doesn't cut single-player content because you don't want to/can't use the extraneous tools that were included to raise GR. I play offline exclusively; I don't own an iOS device, yet my single-player experience of the game is incomplete - there is content I cannot see, because I can't raise GR above 50% in the single-player game.

And that is complete BS. Bonuses from game segments outside single-player should never affect the single-player game in such a way as to exclude certain outcomes.

Really.

Fine then, you weren't TECHNICALLY wrong about this, but that doesn't mean you weren't wrong about 100 other things.

Incidentally, you were wrong.

EMS can not be raised in SP, the total assets can.

EMS is a multiplier requiring multiplayer.

War Assets are aqured in SP.

Galactic Readiness is from MP.

EMS is the combination of the 2.

Smarty pants. :P

Mmm... alrighty then. It has been a long time since I played ME3, I couldn't stand to go back to it after realizing nothing I did actually mattered.

Well, as it turns out, one of them is right, and the other one works for BioWare... "oops"

They will never change the readiness system since it was studied to charge players to increase it.

Say hello to EA.

Interview with Mike Gamble (Associate Producer)
http://www.360magazi...ferent-endings/

“There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How
could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and
then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t
say any more than that…”

Interview with Casey Hudson (Director)
http://www.gameinfor...PostPageIndex=2

Interviewer: [Regarding the numerous possible endings of Mass Effect 2] “Is that
same type of complexity built into the ending of Mass Effect 3?”
Hudson: “Yeah, and I’d say much more so, because we have the ability to
build the endings out in a way that we don’t have to worry about
eventually tying them back together somewhere. This story arc is
coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot
more different. At this point we’re taking into account so many
decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that
stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings,
where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got
ending A, B, or C.....The endings have a lot more sophistication and
variety in them.”

Casey Hudson (Director)
http://www.computera...ly-good/?page=2

“There is a huge set of consequences that start stacking up as you approach the end-game. And
even in terms of the ending itself, it continues to break down to
some very large decisions. So it's not like a classic game ending
where everything is linear and you make a choice between a few things
- it really does layer in many, many different choices, up to the
final moments, where it's going to be different for everyone who
plays it.”

Not to be an ass, but it isn't like we haven't been lied to before. :S

On the plus side, at least the multiplayer is pretty fun.

Question to Mr Casey Hudson ......

Why the need to lie to us? Was there more planned, then content cut or changed due to time issues?

I only ask because BW does not look good right now in the eyes of its fans.
