Only reminds me of every futuristic "assassin" in fiction, ever. Not that I mind cliches in general, but hey.

Close - I actually had to think of the BlackOps Assassins in Half Life 1, though the HL2 Combine Assassin might be an obvious choice for a Phantom-equivalent.MockingAsp wrote...
Halflife Combine Assassin.
But yeah, games and movies / TV series (both life-action and anime/cartoon) are full of designs like these with only subtle alterations.
Love the animations they're pulling off in Mass Effect, though. One of our team got stuck below the helipad on Firebase White once and, with the other three being dead, we were forced to watch him stand around for a good 5 minutes completely immune to any attempts by the enemy to kill him. I didn't bother for a good 2 minutes just because watching the Nemesii and Phantoms do their jumps and sweeps and other acrobatic feats was too cool.
... then one of us logged off and was replaced by a Salarian Infiltrator who picked off all the remaining enemies completely on his own, ony by one - and that is whilst having spawned on the Cerberus-infested helipad with two turrets, three assassins, an Atlas and a good dozen lesser troops. Badass.

Good call there. Especially since Nemesis speech implies cyborgization, as the Combine is known to do with their troops, and SC ghosts have normal speech patterns, only distorted by the breathing mask.MockingAsp wrote...
Halflife Combine Assassin. Female snipers are hardly a SC-only creation (gender roles?), and I think that HL2 is the only one who does a cyclopean version. That I know of anyway. Well, there's also Crying Wolf from Metal Gear Solid, but I'm not counting her.
Still, "SC-only"? If anything, SC ghosts are usually shown to be male (with notable exceptions being two named characters, but even those are counter-balanced by Duran, Stukov, the Spectre dude from SCII and the ghost from the Amerigo, with "grunt" ghosts getting the ball even further into the male court).

Lies, all lies. However, i heard Sabotage is very cool and useful skill. Nothing more funny that a turret killing the Engi who created it. Or a ravaging guardian-killing Atlas.twister87 wrote...
