Yanno, here I am wasting my time and as I shift through awkwardzombie and I see this.



I couldn't help but roar with laughter. It's true. I've done it plenty of times. And I remember Miranda being such a pain to kill off. It wasn't until she got a giant metal plate crush her face in the end of ME2 after I destroyed the T-9000 that I felt satisfied I got rid of her.

And other characters too.

So who else here has killed off characters for the sake of it / for fun / because you want to experiment / see outcomes in ME3 / etc?

I killed Jack, Tali, Thane, Jacob, and Zaeed purposely. It was funny :3

I think just about the only way you can kill Miranda is taking her to the final boss unloyal.

I remember one time I tried leaving just her and Tali behind to hold the line and she STILL survived.. Come on, seriously, Tali dies if a Collector looks at her wrong...

I like the rest of the characters, so they always survive.

None of my actual proper ME1/ME2 saves have intentional squad deaths
Wrex is still alive etc, but I did do that try and get as many people as possible killed on the Suicide Mission run thing. Twas quite amusing until Garrus and Tali died...then I curled into a corner and sobbed about what a horrible person I was.

As for killing squadmates,  I always make sure that everyone comes out alive,but this is mainly only because I am a completionist addict and I was really curious about their stories in ME3.

However, I also love a good story, and to me, I think that the most appropriate death of all the squadmates was that of Jack. (keep in mind, I love Jack, I'm talking about this situation in strictly plot-wise fashion)

Here are Jack's final words if she is hit during the suicide mission:

Jack: 'Too many...Tore me up. How'd you talk me into this? Heh....I wasn't supposed to care.'  

To me, this was a good ending to her story arc because she gave her life to protect the others, a truly selfless act that shows the complexity to her character.

This is a highly debatable topic, though.  But I am very interested in other's opinons too. <3

I killed Jacob in about every playthrough by not making him loyal then having him do the suicide run to get the crewmates to the Normandy. I killed Tali once but that was an accident that I decided to stick with lol.

Only in a few playthroughs. I tried to have a run with only the minimun survivors required for Shepard to live, but I ran into a problem. When I started a list, deciding who to save, I found out the number of characters I couldn't bear to watch die was higher than two.

And thus, the most I've been able to kill in one run were Samara, Miranda, Grunt, Jacob and Jack. And I like them all, I just wanted to have a slightly different ending, and those were the only ones I could consider killing.

Twice and soon to be 3: Lawson, Jack, Kasumi, Thane. Will have 2 import saves where Grunt is dead ( besides those 4 squad members ) as well as 2 saves where Jacob is dead.

The only one I ever let die on any of my playthroughs on purpose was Jack, can't stand her so on one of them let it be so that she got shot

Everyone survived in my playthrough. I was very tempted to have Jack and Zaeed die though.

Nah My Shep's a big damn hero to the core, and that's the way I like it. Ashley/Kaidan, Pressley and 20 npcs died under his command already, and there's no way any more are dying if he has anything to say about it.

Everyone is alive in my playthrough. I'm not going to kill off a character just because I don't like them. But if I were... I'd kill off Jack.

Yeah. Killed off Tali, Grunt, and Zaeed. Didn't like Tali or Grunt. Zaeed was cool but i just offed him for a human death.
