There was an episode of Buffy with these wierd floaty guys who wear suits steal everyones voice. God, those things scared the crap out of me. Those grins.

Ah yes the silent episode called "Hush"  The Gentlemen.  Very effective as Joss Whedon said that his goal was to make them look like Mr Burns meets the Joker.
Also a side note.
I was watching Buffy the other day and was just about to watch this episode when my friend came in.
He likes the show now.

It's probably lame but, the first thing that really scared me was the demon in doom.

They don't look scary at all, but god they were so oppressive.

The descent was also pretty scary, but it was probably more the setting that the creatures themselves.

And there is also those disgusting dudes in hellraiser...

Cob from Tales of Earthsea creeped the hell out of me.

There were some ghost children in Supernatural that scared me too..

And the cannibal witch from Once Upon a Time, the episode about Hansel and Gretel, was creepy.

Pinky! Yes of course - and those were the days when fighting a demon in an FPS was pretty fresh - as was their talent for invisibility, which had them right up in your face all of a sudden.

Speaking of Doom there's another old school ID game.
The Fiends from Quake I just remembered them.

The Alien back in the original when it was a murderous rapist chimera that turned it's victim into organic paste to grow eggs. Before it was turned into a glorified termite with all the durability of a light blub when faced with a pulse rifle.

Cherubs from Doom 3. Baby-inspired monsters are always creepy as hell.

Speaking of Doom 3. One of these guys appeared and my brother comes in the room and makes a loud ****ing sound and I jumped and yelled out of fear. Was so funny. I think they're called wraiths

I don't know.  For me, not seeing something was much worse than seeing it, in most cases.  I'm the most creeped out by the unknown.  The idea that there is some unknown something out here and it is killing everyone in horrible, unspeakable ways.  Seeing whatever it is usually pales in comparison to the not knowing.  Still, I don't watch a lot of movies involving monsters, nor do I play a lot of horror games (Doom 3 is about it).  Don't have anything against them, I just never found the time for them.
