Since as a male the whole thing revolves around your future arranged wife being kidnapped by the human guys

What happens if you pick to be a girl yourself? Do you just get thrown in prison and fight your way out of there yourself?

Technically I guess I could figure it out by myself but thats another new save and like an hour of playing and then I'd have to delete it later cause I don't want 2 of the same character
I'm curious though so if anyone has done the city elf female origin please tell me

you get taken but then your cousin shows up, hands you a sword and you cut your way out (after dealing with vaughn of course)

I've never played the male version of this, but as a female you're captured and wake up in a room with the other ladies held there to be raped. When the door opens and a guard comes to drag someone off to be assaulted, Soris appears behind him and slides you a sword borrowed from Duncan and you can begin your massive slaughterfest of the human swine to escape.

My first play through was city elf female and it was quite satisfying to run the little twerp through in the end. Then Duncan comes along as you thumb your nose at the guards and invokes the right of conscription. Bye bye jerks!!

I also want to add that i am a male who feels that what i did to the arl's son should be done to anyone in real life who excercises the same behavior, and I would be willing to swing the blade without a moments hesitation or regret.

Indeed, but slaying him with the righteous fury he so deserved did kind of hurt your Landsmeet stance. Not that it really matters, but he is an additional vote in your favor.

City Elf Female Origin > City Elf Male Origin

Its roughly the same story from a way better perspective. Whoever wrote the City Elf origin can have an internet high five from me any day.

Some votes aren't worth the cost.

The mass rapist deserves every death he gets.

If you play male city elf the Arl's son offers you lots of gold when you confront him if you just leave girls to their fate. That is imo about the most evil thing you can do in this game and I was physically repulsed to even try that out (and you don't even get to keep the gold). Is there a similar option for female elves?

I have no idea if female elves get a similar option, because by that point the only thing on my mind was MURDER DEATH KILL and painting the walls with his blood, so I wouldn't have noticed it if he HAD offered. I think I recall him pleading for his life, so there may have been some kind of attempt made.

Yep, there's an option to get 50 silver or something to leave the others to their fate. (One of the other women at the beginning had her throat slashed open in front of you. When my female city elf saw her cousin on the floor quietly sobbing though, she got a Stepford Smile. Much stabbing ensued.

The bride from Kill Bill would be proud of this origin. :kissing:

I believe female elves do get the same option, yes. But indeed, it is one of the most cruel things you can do in this game and I enjoy making a pin cushion out of him everytime.

And the guy is actually another vote at the landsmeet? Then perhaps I should just let him out of his cell on one of my characters once... Just can't help but be biased when I see him and let him rot there.

Wasn't it more like 40 gold? I'm not sure if he would actually give you that much in the beginning of the game, but I'd feel bad to leave the poor woman alone with the pesky human.

Who'd leave their own cousin to be raped for money? Especially when you're racially oppressed, where community and stickin' together is everything? Can't imagine anyone picking that option for any other reason than **** and giggles.

I mean I can be pretty heartless at times but damn I'd never do that.

It's not just Soris who comes to rescue...

He comes with your bethroted (forgot the name) who's guarding the door at the end of hall but sadly the guards have already slit his throat by the time you arrive - a shame really the guy proved to be decent eventhough my city elf wasn't particularly thrilled of getting married

Btw since we're already exchanging - what becomes of male PC's bride to be?

She is with the other females that got caught, and you save her. She'll survive.
"I can't believe you came for me!".

So basically. You succeed where the female city elf's bethroted failed.

That sucks if you ask me. The female version provides a more traumatic background to build on. Oh well.

Actually, it is interesting in male version, (I am sure female is way better here, but only played male) in that once your vain bride says the you came for me bit, IF you make a comment about do not be so selfish, I came for everyone then when you are preparing to leave she makes a comment when you go to see shianni like "lets leave him with the person he really loves."

This is really good for roleplay really adds to your character's view on things when dealing with humans, you get physically knocked out cold by one of his cronies, then dragged off to his estate to be raped or even worse, you see one of your friends brutally murdered and they kill your husband to be. When you get to Ostegar and are introduced to the king you have a few choice dialog options with him that puts a dent in his smugness for a moment.

If you played male, you ran into a scene with 3 guards contemplating on doing some necriphilia with the corpse of that female elf that's cut down in Female origin version. I belive it's the same guard even.

If you play female, you'll arrive to see your spose cut down by the guards insted.

Oh, if you're male you sneak into the castle and oyu have to go trough the cortyard first. As female oyu start in the cell.

so you have different starting points and 2-3 different things you come across, but the map is the same (aside from the cortyard), you only start at different locations and work your way to the lordlings room.

I found the city elf origin when played as a female char to be overall best origin story in the game. Though I haven't tried all of the origin stories as both male and female, so might be some difference that adds a lot to the other origins.

But the city elf origin was the only one I felt had actual impact, that and maybe the human noble story.

Dwarven noble is highly recomended, specially as male, you can have a kid and everything.

Haha.  Yes this is pretty great.

Cailan:  W...what?

Duncan:  I...would not have put it so bluntly.

I was wondering what the male city elf part in all this was.  I just started my female city elf rogue last night.  Oh man is it a satisfying origin - slaying rapists = WIN.   Consequently, my little city elf has a LOT of pent up rage.

(shrugs) I stopped caring the second I saw my cousin on the floor trying not to fall apart.

Query:

I sort of brushed off the little red-headed elf girl who was nervous about going to Ostagar. She told me she didn't like the idea of being around all those men and I kind of meant to joke and say "well, they'll like it!" but she got all sad and walked off. What's the deal with this gal storywise?

Also, is there no way for me to have any sexy time in the city elf origin like in the human noble origin?
