I enjoyed the city elf origin, accept for the way it is handled towards the end of the game, it was empty and unsatisfactory... there was not enough story hooks, leaving me with that "well that is it" feeling of an ending. This applies to mage as well (very bland). Origins set a tone but they are sadly lacking in substance in their importance towards the end of the game and at critical points in the overall main story. That said, the game has some very beautiful moments, and overall the writers should be very proud of what they have accomplished great job overall guys.
This is very true, I think mostly the Origins are successful in what they attempt to do however the process isn't perfected in this game and there's many moments where things don't quit line up in the main story because they have to try to account for all origins. So far I'm enjoying human noble the best in terms of intergration with the main story and now consider it my 'canon' play through. A bit sad considering I wanted my elven mage to be my canon, but I find that play through isn't as satisfying as I would have liked.
