This was actually a reference to a fairly notorious fan art.

It's surprising how many fan jokes have made it into the script, actually.

And every time, her face should change to a more hideos and hideous one!

Judging by all the concepts of the Quarian helmet, these are probably concepts from ME1. Judging by Tali's popularity, they've probably spent a great deal of time since then trying to come up with a design to please the fans.

Something like the 4th would be alright. Even the 5th. The others are way too human looking. They'd have to add some kind of nose though as she clearly has a small, very upturned nose from what can be seen in the games.

I really hope they make her very alien and unattractive - Bioware are in the perfect position to 'test the strength' of their fans' romance to the character.

As it is, people are already crazy about her without even knowing what she looks like, so the shape of her face really shouldn't matter, right? Shepard certainly didn't seem to mind, whatever he saw.
