Judging by all the concepts of the Quarian helmet, these are probably concepts from ME1. Judging by Tali's popularity, they've probably spent a great deal of time since then trying to come up with a design to please the fans.

It's from Art of Mass Effect originally, which was the art book for Mass Effect.  The book serves as the first section in the latest art book.

I hope that the OPTION is there to see her face, if you want. They should only give that option to Talimancers, and even then there should be some sort of dialogue moment where you can choose to see her face or not see it. Not something blatant like "put this bag on your head, Tali" but something that works in the context of the scene, where it is clear to the player that choosing one option will let them see Tali without her mask and the other option will not. That could please everyone.

EDIT: As for what her face looks like, I picture it as being very ghostly pale, with large eyes, a very small nose (maybe just small nostril slits but not pig-like or anything) and a smallish mouth.  Something like a traditional "grey" alien or a Star Wars kaminoan crossed with a human.  I think they should make her look inhuman but at the same time not repulsive or animal-like or too strange.  She should look like she hasn't seen sunlight in a loooooong time though...very pale.

I'm sure they will complain until Bioware releases a DLC that lets them change the face at will.

Having just recieved my copy of the book (ordered from the UK, so it took a "while"), I can confirm that BioWare are using some old ME1 designs that never made the cut, like the huskified Rachni and massive Harvesters.
So just a heads up: This could be real.

Seriously though, so much hate from Miranda fans. It's almost sad. (For the record, I like both characters.)

I don't image she is going to be hideous since most of the female characters aren't. I tried to romance Tali a couple of times but she never went for it Hoping I can redeem myself in ME3. Although I probably am in trouble with at least one scenerio. Do you think Miranda will hold it against me if did a one timer with Jack? Or was it Liara and Jack (I was such a player in that one game through)
