That video didn't answer any of my questions except telling me that Europe is full of idiots. Did everyone seem to forget the big boom that is Digital distribution? You normally have to activate the game on Steam/Origin anyway so why even bother with physical copies.

I'm annoyed that I have to wait 3 more days because I live in Europe when I'm going to be getting the digital copy anyway. I just can't even comprehend how stupid this entire system is.

Honestly it just seems like some stupid american thinks that Europe is 3 days in the future while america is 3 days behind.

Because North America is awesomeness.

I wish it would come out on the same day, they do it with most other games. So I don't see why not...

No that is not how it works.

It has always being US 3 days earlier before europeans.

It has only be VERY RARE case EU has got the games on the same day US gets them.

OP, you have Mass Effect 2 registered. That was released January 26th in North America, January 29th in Europe. Don't see why this is an issue now...

Who cares if you have to wait another 9 days?

It isn't going to kill you.

EU launches on Thursday or Friday for new media (books, music, games, etc), North America launches on Tuesdays. Nothing we can do about that. Sorry.

That was 2 years ago. I think I was actually busy working away that entire week and I wasn't to bothered, you know your boss saying to you a week before that "You might lose your job" doesn't really make you think about video games.

Well I'll have my ME3 N7 edition on 6th of March but I will have to wait until 9th because of "genious" region blocks.

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure people have said it's because PAL release their media on fridays whereas NTSC on Tuesdays? Something like that I believe.

That seems logical, but without proof to back it up I can't belive that. Considering we still have another 2 weeks (ish) before Europe gets it they could do it next week.

As far as the spoilers thing goes, that's almost as ridiculous as me turning on the news, watching the sports segment and then complaining because I saw the score of a satellite-delayed football game that I was going to watch later. If I don't want to know the score, I make sure that I turn off the sports segment & do something else. If you don't want game spoilers, avoid game sites and the BSN for a few weeks - I'll try to avoid this place myself too...soonish (maybe), heh.

So, turn off my internet for 3 days? I'm currently at home 24/7 and have pretty much nothing to do. I can't leave the house and I'm stuck in bed pretty much all day.

While I know I can't avoid all the spoilers, most of the sites I visit on a daily basis will most likely be talking about this game. You don't sound like you are from Europe so I wouldn't expect you to understand.

Silly system. There should be something new put in for Digital distribution seeing as It's been booming the last few years.

Just going to point out that some of us don't always want to devote bandwidth to downloading every single games. I do it for some games, but I certainly don't want to get throttled for being injudicious about data usage. Also, I like having a physical disc as a backup in some cases and/or the physical items that come with CEs (like artbooks, etc.). I still have my copies of the BG series on disc even now. Ditto on the KotOR series.

Who said to completely shun the entire Internet? I think I specifically said gaming sites and the BSN. BTW, I went about a week without any computer access when my old laptop bricked, and that didn't kill me. Furthermore, I was sick for at least one solid month back in college and couldn't leave the house/really get around because of a bad cough (spent most of my time on the sofa or in bed while hacking my lungs out and was bloody miserable).

I don't think being stuck in bed 24/7 means you can't find something to do online besides visiting your favorite sites for a week or two. Watch some movies/tv shows, catch up on reading, play whatever other games you might have. At this point, I kind of can't believe you're complaining about three days of avoidance (although if you were wise, you'd start avoiding these places sooner because people seem to keep leaking stuff earlier & earlier with each game release).

And since I'm in Hawaii, you're right - I'm not in Europe. What does that have to do with anything? I sometimes can't even get release-day delivery/next-day delivery, and, omg, usually get games later than mainlanders do (not to mention shipping costing more). Being able to use one's common sense isn't determined by one's continent. As a matter of fact, you saying that "I just wouldn't understand" is making me inclined to not take your concerns seriously at this point.

P.S. Even when I can get release-day or next-day delivery, sometimes it's so expensive that I don't WANT to pony up and can wait up to a week after the actual release date to get a game. I still manage to avoid spoilers.

All I saw was "WAHHHHH I WANT THE GAME NOWWWWWWWWW."

But seriously, everything has a release date. You can't just release it before the release date. And its coming out in march, pretty early in the year. I don't get why you're complaining.

But then those who bought digitally would have an unfair headstart over people who prefer a physical copy. They are tyring to keep things as fair as possible within the limitations of when games are released. At least this way the game is out at the same time in each country.

Just avoid gaming sites. If you use blogs like Tumblr you get get the Tumblr Savior app which prevents posts with keywords you choose from showing up. I know I've had to use it for shows that come out later in NA than in EU.

Use the extra couple days to play ME2 again.

I'm in Canada so I get it on the 6th but I work /have university  stuff going on all week that I can't get out of so I will barely get to play until the weekend. I seriously wish the game was released on the 9th everywhere.

If I buy my PC copy on march 7 in Germany (retailers here usually sell games 1-2 days before official launch), will I be able to play or will origin prevent it?
