I'm in a xbox live party with my brother from what I understand the only
way the two of us can join a public game together is if we create one
outselves, but no one joins. we've waited up to 10 minutes for anyone to
join, but nothing ever happens. why can't a live team join a public
game without having to create one ourselves. this is not a game designed
for 2 people, it's impossible!
how does a live team join a public game together?

If i were you, just join a random game with one open slot, and just invite him...

My room mate and I have to do it this way, but it takes over half an hour usually for either of us to find a 3 person lobby, invite the other to it, and not have someone leave while we are joining. It is a pain to do, and is quite frustrating. The weakest aspect of the multiplayer, if you ask me.

Yeah, i've had this problem too. It'd be great for the quick match button to work with the xbox live party system.
No-one joins my lobbies, and everytime i join a lobby, there's 4 people there. It's quite difficult to find one with slots to invite my friends.

Same with me on the xbox.
I can join any game, but when making a public one myself no-one joins it.
Probably a bug which is hopefully fixed in the final game

create a private match invite your friends then make the match public. it's best to start the match and just keep playing until people join your games. no other way than that. Usually works for me, takes about 10-40 mins just depends.

When you start your own game the public slots also don't allow you to invite other people only the xbl party. I had this the other day and had to bring up the guide/dashboard bit to invite another person. You can however manually join a friends game that contains a party if there's less than 4 people there already. Rather dodgy.

I've been thinking about this, too. This is a major dysfunction in MP, with all other aspects being fine.
When I create a game with my friend, the game seems to assign us to a "private room", therefore I must form a totally arranged team.....
I hope this gets a fix.

I think it's a must have feature.
Why it isn't there is kind of awkward.
Here's to hoping it's in the final product.
