I do not know if this was here or not, but I was wondering; I beat Mass Effect 2 once and now on second play-through,but Isanity is way too hard, if I don't beat it will I not be able to import my character?

If you have completed one playthrough then you will be able to import the completed one. However you will not be able to import what looks like your insanity run.

If you want to beat the insanity run there is a ME2 insanity run guide using the Adept class to do it. I suggest looking at it and referencing it while playing with an Adept class for ME2 to import to ME3.

Zico had the right of it though that you can import the ME2 regular run that was completed as long as you have a save file from that completed play through still around.

I only have one save file. For some reason, when i started a new game with my level 32 character it started in the same save file. If i import this to ME3 will it take into account the actions of my completed game or the new one i started? I dont particularly want to rush through another playthrough before release next week.

In ME2, the savefile is treated more like a Database file than a traditional save file.  And unlike the ME1 savefile, it cannot be copied (for backup purposes) only moved.  However, as long as you have completed one playthru of ME2, the ME3 character import feature should allow you to select that playthru for import into ME3.

If I moved my save files from one xbox HDD to another, is that going to screw up my import for ME 3? I'd hate to lose all that stuff I did in my past playthroughs.

I cant see this being an issue as its still the same file. Simply moving it shouldnt effect it in anyway.
