This is why I actually prefer it over the default combat uniform. It looks like Shepard just went for a jog, then Vega came in. The sweatshirt makes the Reaper's appearance more surprising, because it hints that Shepard isn't remotely ready.

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but where exactly are these outfits coming from? Are they a bonus from playing the demo? Or available at the beginning of the game? I'm just wondering if I have to start the game wearing that camo-whatever or if I can change into a more official uniform before the game starts.

Oh, and please don't tell me that, except for the N7 Hoodie, they're just fan creations. I'll be quite irritated if that's the case.

So, what? If we played the demo through, those unlock? I'm not trying to be deliberately stupid, I just don't know what you mean by this. I've rarely done things like getting a demo and having things activate in-game.

I'm also asking if we'll be able to choose Shepard's casual appearance BEFORE the game begins.

No, you will get every outfit in the full game, no need to worry. Only the hoodie needs the CE, everything else is always unlocked for everyone. The underwear is not a real casual outfit, you cant choose it in the full game to wear it on the normandy. You will automatically wear it in your romance scene.

But because the files for all these outfits are already in the demo, I was able to wear it by changing some values of the coalesced.bin, thats all.

Very pleased with the selection of casual outfits, though I feel for femshep players deprived of the jacket-and-jeans combo, will totally have my shep in the hoodie at the start if possible, or the jacket and jeans

No, they are all in the maingame for free (only the hoodie needs the CE).
