Ok so i know that the known squademates are Liara, Garrus, Virmire Survivor, EDI, Vega, Tali, (and the Prothean if you get the dlc), but are there more that just weren't announced, are any other old squadmates returning, and am I going to have a awesome team of Shepard, Legion, and the Prothean or not?!

No. We know them all. They are confirmed by a simple examination of the demo, and also by people who have played the game.

ME3 is going with a smaller squad like ME1. Developers felt there where to many Squadmates in ME2. Most of your Squadmates from ME2 will have cameos in ME3 and become war assets if they are a live.

What? EDI is a squadmate. She's in the demo's audio. I've listened to all of it. She is absolutely a squadmate.

Miranda will appear, but not as a squadmate. Go to the Mass Effect wiki, it has all squadmates listed. And EDI is not among those listed.

Could be temporary, could be permanent, or left over dialogue from an original idea of her as a squadmate. Like same-sex relationships with Ashley and Kaidan in Mass Effect. So...they paid Tricia Helfer to record squadmate dialogue, and then included it in the game's audio files which they used for the demo, and then.....cut her completely? Not sure why anyone would believe that. You are welcome to, but you're the only person I've seen of who does.

I love the hatred for my opinion. I get less hate when debating religion. I say they cut her completely? No? Just her role as a squadmate. If she isn't a squadmate (and I hope she is, but let's ignore that part and continue trolling me, Sakanade), then I imagine her playing much of the same role as before. Oh, let's also forget my admission of her being a possible temporary squadmate and cry I'm not admitting something that is speculation to be truth.

I just don't understand why you feel the need to argue this, though. We all know she is a squadmate. I've been told she is by two different QA testers who have played the whole game. It's not like this is an issue that is still up in the air.

Why bother to argue?

Oh, okay. So people that have played the game have said she's a full squadmate? I didn't see that having been said. That is enough proof for me. If we were only going off of audio files, that's not enough. But cool. Glad to hear it.

Sorry if I made it sound like I was standing on just that. The guy who dropped a lot of this info in another forum has sort of been proven to be legit over the last few months by releasing info before it was confirmed by Bioware. That's the main source most people are looking to to confirm their speculation.

I just didn't want you to lump me in with him. I hope you know I'm not that guy. I'm the nice, helpful guy. The kind of guy that's is on the correct side of those issues.

Yeah, that leaker has even gone so far as to put up partial screenshots of design documents, which I'm sure violates his NDA.

It's possible EDI is a temporary Squadmate for say one or two missions?

I know it's been confirmed some characters are a squad mate for one mission only in order to conclude their story.

The same proven source has indicated both that EDI is permanent squadmate, and that Anderson is actually the only temporary squadmate.

Hmm... So how will they handle the missions related to previous squad mates like Miranda? She will just be an NPC and not in the team?

You can use the Sur'Kesh mission in the demo as the example. Both Mordin and Wrex take part, but neither are actually in your squad.
