But I kept on getting drunk. And that why the Alliance took it away. :crying::crying::crying:

Thats the real reason I got grounded I couldn't do my job.

Just imagine our first run of ME3, we're gonna be losing some good folk the first time through probably. We are gonna need that bar to gather around and mourn our losses like hopeless alcoholics.

I don't think it is too dark when you remember what it's purpose is. It's a fighter/exploration craft. And this craft uses a lot of video readout and holographic technology for its controls and readings. A darker environment makes these easier to use.

Similar in nature to a modern day Aircraft Controller tower. The rooms are almost completely pitch back except for the screens to allow those following airplanes to easier see and understand what is on their screens. Same reason submarines dim their lights when they go into combat mode.

Possibly if the Normandy was more of a pleasure craft or personal vehicle it would be brighter, but the darker atmosphere suits the purpose better.

I always thought the CIC was dark and that's, essentially, what the "bridge" of the Normandy is, isn't it?

Your face.

Also, yeah my dad is in the USN and i've been in CIC it's nearly pitch black aside from the concoles, obviously though that wouldnt work in a video game where you want to show off the design, I liked the brightness from ME2 though.

You can probably turn up the brightness setting if it bothers you.

I saw the galaxy map video and I must say that the Normandy's lighting is dimmer than ME1's Normandy. It's almost pitch black in there, except for the computer lights. I would be surprised if people weren't constantly tripping over stuff.

The ships not the ME1 Normandy that ships laying in pieces on a planet now.

Well of course. That's why he said The new Normandy (the ship in the pic) is darker than the SR1. Silly goose:P.

Gotta keep in mind that you're likely looking at the PS3 version which usually tends to have a darker look as a rule of thumbs on top of the intended darker look.

except I seen the vid that pic comes from and it was clearly a 360 that was being used

Yes there's a bar. The leaked script mentioned a lounge multiple times and a squadmate gets drunk in it. (Tali I think)

In short I'm assuming the Alliance stripped all the uneeded comforts and only on a need to need basis allowed things to stay. I guess Joker is gonna miss his leather seat.

I think Alliance it's just a bunch of jarheads with absolutely no respect for others property... they stole the normandy from cerberus (They claim it's alliance, but remember who got the idea of building the normandy with turians?, so.. Cerberus idea, Cerberus ship)

They take the model ships, they take your fish, they take your hamster, your prothean thingy, your research on weapons and cybernetics, they take your money, your resources, they take all the nice things of the more advanced/confortable vessel on Alliance space, they strip you of your rank, your team, even call you a criminal and even then, they ask for your help... I say, go to hell, cerberus aren't that bad after all.

It had better be darker, I felt like it did not matter where I was on the ship in ME2 it always felt like it was the medical wing, sterile and stuffy.
