I have an idea, let's troll Udina!!! Usually it's Linday Lohan, never fails, but let's keep it ME-related.

Well actually firstly they are not running around with a BIG rocket launcher, ME weapons are lighter than todays counterparts. I was more thinking why FemShep wasn't on par with ManShep strength.
But if you want to go that way. Why make ManShep have muscle at all? Why not make him just slim?
You know why, it's considered "sexy" in this world today for some odd reason.
Not by all. I for one don't think he looks sexy. As a straight male I don't look at him sexually, but I can compare him with what I want to be, and he doesn't look sexy at all to me.

For point a i was talking to slothful koala to let him know facts about EDs. And for point b, you said "trigger girls".
Well i did not mean to offended by using that term, i don't see how it can be perceived as making fun of you though.
Well you either must be trying to push my buttons or are just completely unable to understand the gravity of the situation.
I understand you have a serious disorder and so do many others that is harsh to deal with.
But i don't think the situation of femshep being skinny has any real gravity to it.

You do realize mass effect has broken just about every basic law in nature there is right?
But a skinny military female? OVER THE LINE.
So with your logic, manshep could be a dwarf with three arms and no legs and sprays plasma out his rectum and you'd be ok with it?
There has to be some sort of connectable logic to what the player is seeing.. The codex is specifically there to give the player a way to suspend disbelief concerning the ridiculous space magic on display. Man shep looks like he could hold his own, femshep no.. Physical body image is a natural human concept, and the image of femshep, looking like a Calvin Klein model from the mid 90's does nothing but make players go "Wha?"

Because a woman like that is implausibly skinny for what she does in her career.

Age has nothing to do with it. Are you seriously saying the dress BioWare "designed" is better/more appropriate than any of the ones I posted?
Better looking certainly, but they don't appear to fit the style of Mass Effect. Besides, those dresses are still much less casual than ManShep's jacket and jeans, and they don't send the same message about the character. They might be acceptable if the male shepard's version was slacks and a dress shirt. Maybe a tie.

"Not by all" is irrelevant because not everyone is going to like something. By a majority of this population, let's use women as an example, a fit male is considered "sexy".D.Kain wrote...

If femshep being shown as a physically strong woman who other women look up to, but then is shown with defined bones and little muscle, how am I supposed to recieve that?
I and many of my friends who enjoy watching me play have eating disorders. Because there is an almost nude model in the game depicting a body that is triggering to people with eating disorders in it, I am unable to show parts of the game to my friends and I an unable to enjoy parts. That is abliesm just as much as having homophoic material in a video game woud be homophobic or having racist material in a video game be racist.
If they are aware they have a body model that is triggering for people with ED, that is. I'm sure they are not aware of this, seeing as most people don't think about that kind of stuff when making things.

Just goes to show just how disturbingly skinny Fem Shep is. But hey that's what BW thinks is attractive, so let's not criticize them.

That's still the point. He represents the male ideal. The phrase
"Women want him, and men want to be him" comes into play here.
This also plays into the argument with Butthead. Male Shepard represents the male ideal. Female Shepard, by the same logic should represent the female ideal. However, her figure is so thin that it's triggering people with aneorexia.
See a problem here?

I don't like ManShep's clothing either. It doesn't say "I have respect for you and myself", it says "I wait in dark tunnels waiting for my dealer to give me my dose" or "I'll stick you with this knife!"
And it's far too 21st century teenage/twenty-something BS.
Why doesn't he have a simple shirt/tie/jacket?
A cool hat would be nice too:

Your supposed to receive that it's a videogame fantasy, and most of what happens is not possible in anyway. There are things that make much less sense than a strong skinny female in the game.
