Mass Effect: Special Forces.

Take Galaxy at War and expand it. Give it 20 new maps, a completely weapon catalog, major character customization, a campaign mode with drop in/drop out 4 man co-op, auto save, more races to choose from, a survival mode, a time trial mode, and top it off with "History Mode" where you play during the First Contact War, Skyllian Blitz and the Rachni War and you have a game that drives Call of Duty out of business.

Yes, we should keep our saves around. Bioware confirmed that.

But they also confirmed there is -no- more games where Shepard is playable. And honestly, I'll miss Shepard. I enjoy the character. I don't know the potential for another character.

But according to an article I read, they believe a prequel could be in order, or a story based on a species before the Protheans that attempted to stop the cycle and failed.

Now that could be cool, if only to get to play a society without humans at all. Might be a bit odd, but that's half the fun.

Yeah that was a little foolish.

Activision will be shutting it down soon enough.

ACTIVISION: THEY LOVE TO WATCH GAMERS CRY!

It was supposed to be a Trilogy. Don't want anymore.

At the very LEAST, end this story arc and start with another (no Shep), where you could actually choose your own race and whatnot. I don't know.
My first sentence stands, if nothing else.

I want another trilogy next generation.

Something that takes place a few hundred years after ME3.

I hope they leave the series, and Brittnay alone.

They should go on to make a new series.  Maybe even a licensed one.

I really will miss Mass Effect. But even worse than the trilogy ending is them making some half-effort to revive it (KOTOR 2 being a prime example of continuing something that shouldn't be continued, not sure how TOR is).

And an MMO would make me cry a bit.

KOTOR 2 was developed by Obsidian Entertainment not by BW, it's the same with NW2

Any of the following:

-Mass Effect: RTS - Ground and Space Based Combat. The fact Bioware are doing the C&C game makes me think this could be a possibility
-Mass Effect: Space Sim - If any of you have played Galactic Civilizations, then its that but Mass Effect
-Mass Effect: MMO - I'm not a huge fan of MMO's but I could definitely get lost in the Mass Effect universe.
-Mass Effect: RPG - I would like to see another Mass Effect but a new story arc. Maybe 20/30 years after ME3 takes place so places have a chance to rebuild somewhat. Maybe meet Old Shepard and any surviving squadmates. Hopefully get the chance to play as an alien race (preferably Turian/Drell)

That is preferences, but i'd probably quite happily buy anything Mass Effect related, best Sci-Fi universe of all time, but thats just my opinion.

they could do a war between the turians and Humans. I want to see that war

that was a really minor conflict as far as wars goes though. I mean it was basically a series of minor skirmishes and there was no real conclusion other than the council stepping in before the turians could crush us like bugs.

Prequels? Why?
There's so many paths Bioware can take, so many stories they can tell set in the future. Why go back? Just go ten thousand years into the future and tell another story.

Personally I don't think they could do much unless the Reaper threat wasn't completely resolved.

In my opinion when you write a story (or a series of stories) about a protagonist taking on the most powerful thing in the universe, you sort of end up writing yourself into a corner.

If that protagonist ends up beating that force completely, there's virtually no convincing antagonist that you can devise within that world anymore. If you go back in time it can still be a fun story, but you can never recapture that tension.

Long time fans, in my opinion, would look at it this way:

"Psh, [protagonist Y] isn't that great. That bad guy isn't nearly as bad as [Protagonist X] had to deal with."

At that point it becomes hard for a writer to engage the audience with the struggles of the protagonist when they know that at some point in the universe someone else had to deal with worse. Traditional tension builders become somewhat hollow because fans will perpetually be comparing the situation to earlier works.

At least that's how I see it. I personally have a hard time getting invested in a new protagonist's struggles when I know that someone else faced worse and came out on top.

Not sure how xbox saves would transfer to the next generation. I suppose USB ports if they can transfer.

I tell you the reapers were sent by a group of races in another galaxy. They are killing every1 every 50.000 years so they wont get threatened by us.
Or they made the reapers and they got almost eradicated by them.Seeing that you managed to destroy their assault they ask you to come help them and warn you that this was only a small part of the Reaper Army.

you're basing this on the assumption that the focus of the ME series is the reapers though. I disagree (and i'm sure many others do as well) and rather hold to the notion that the ME is about the setting itself, its the point of gravity as opposed to any actual antagonists. Hence why ME1 and 2 had very little actual focus on the reapers. They are part of it but they've always sort of been on the sidelines compared to the other personal and political aspects of the setting.

I don't agree, GuardianAngel470.
Just because the threat is bigger doesn't mean it is more meaningful. It's all in the way the story is constructed.

A story about three snails surviving the dry season can be more engaging than Mass Effect if properly written.

I agree with tobynator89. Mass Effect has always been about the setting and the various characters in that setting. Although, in my opinion, it failed in many aspects at providing us a decent antagonist and protagonist.

Please no MMO's... Why they never think small? How about Adventure game you can share with your friends? Squad based dialogue and combat! Awesome!

MMO= way too static to be fun.

Ditto.

It's gonna be weird though if Liara and Shep's daughter will be an LI.

They should let it rest until next gen.
Then they should start a new trilogy a few hundred years in the future featuring a super soldier created from Shepard's genes. Seriously, we nedd more Shepard.
And use Frostbite engine (3?)

I'd rather the Unreal Engine 4 which by all accounts is getting a reveal this year.

Agreed.

New trilogy on XBOX720.

Do it BioWare.
