For instance, if a comrade died at an objective terminal, it is very possible that pressing the space activates Revive, Activate, and Cover all at once. That is not good.
Okay, I was solo-ing Silver with my infiltrator on Firebase Ghost, and I made it to level 7 or 8 and then came a Communication Array mission. The laptop/computer thing was placed in the extraction zone on the box. I was across the map, and shot/meleed/cloaked my way there. As I was running down the ramp, a troop of guardians and troopers came out of the building to the East/left while an engineer began setting up a turret behind me.
As I was getting shot at, I tried to doge for cover. Instead, my Infiltrator decided to crouch-and-hack. I mashed the keyboard, got her, and tried to dodge to cover again. This time, she hoped the box beside the crate, and then when I mashed the space again, she again crouched-and-hacked.
Finally, i said to heck with this, cloaked, and ran to lob stickys at the turret and I escaped into the building behind the turret.
By that time, i was at half life and had no spec-ops survival packs left.
In short, why do we need a Super Derp Button? And even if Super Derp Button is the default setup, why can't we have the option to reassign the keys? For instance, I would much rather have E or Q be the activate/revive button rather than space bar.
Edit:
I forgot a function lol. Space Bar also dodges!
