Will the Nemesis' Sniper be available in Multiplayer for the full game?

Yes, it's called the Raptor.

Ironically the raptor is a fast firing lower damage sniper, like a DMR. But the nemesis one shots your shields and fires way slower.

Yeah it is basically the mattock with a scope. It does almost exactly the same damage and has the same fire rate. It was described as a turian assault rifle that had a scope added to make it effective at all ranges. I'm pretty excited about using it on my sentinel. It does basically make the mattock a little obsolete though. Especially if you play it scoped.

The mattock will be more useful in closer ranges, assuming the raptor gets a sniper scope instead of a pistol-like one.

It does have a sniper scope, but the guns description says that it was meant to be useful at all ranges, so i suspect that when shooting from the hip it may have the same accuracy as shooting the mattock without aiming, which is still really accurate. Either way though I only plan to use it medium to long range, which i how I use mattock anyway. I prefer the phalanx at closer range.

Snipers have a huge damage penalty when not scoped, but maybe the raptor can be an exception.

The weapons look similar on paper but here are a few key differences I think you're overlooking.

1.  The mattock scope is less powerful which means it will most likely be about even with the raptor at medium range but superior at shorter range.

2.  The mattock has a faster rate of fire, the raptor will have a brief time delay in between shots kind of like the viper and carnifex which again makes it more reliable at closer ranges.

3.  The two weapon types have different mods available to them.  Some overlap, but others are unique to their weapon type... like stability dampeners on the assault rifles.

4.  The mattock is already kind of obsolete in multiplayer because there is no time dilation.  It's not a horrible gun by any means however the primary reason why it was so powerful in ME2  was the fact that its rate of fire wasn't slowed down by time dilation so the mattock was basically double dipping for damage buffs.  This was particularly evident if you were playing as a soldier.

Adrenaline rush increased weapon damage by a percentage but most of this bonus was compensating for the damage lost due to time dilation slowing the rate of fire of your weapon.  The mattock on the other hand always fired as quickly as the player could pull the trigger so adrenaline rush provided its weapon damage buff without applying its rate of fire debuff to the mattock.

actually mattock has a rate of fire of 450, while the raptor's is 550. :wizard: so rate of fire is actually faster on the raptor, but either way both are semi automatic so the rate of fire is just how fast you can pull the trigger. Also there is no forced pause between shots, there have been shots of the raptor in action in a couple of gameplay trailers released by bioware early on, including the squad leader trailer I do believe. Also I like the sniper mods better than the assault rifle mods anyway.^_^
