Some new Oster tweets: "We've got five former Bio people working with us now. We'll likely be adding another two soon. Five worked on BG/BG2..."
Niiiice... So the gang's getting back together for this!
Also in answer to my query about how UB might be addressed: "we're big admirers of the content Dave {Gaider} did. We'll be looking into unfinished business and what can be done"
So they haven't seen the UB content yet, eh? Does this mean Gaider was on the original BG team as well? I have to admit I'm liking Gaider's work myself. Hard to know if he was the Cleese of Monty Python, but Python isn't quite the same without all the members either, nor Pink Floyd the same without Waters, but I digress... A couple of the "Fantastic Four" mentioned by Belgarath write fiction on the side as well and were in BG1 or 2. On that note though, I'll withold lauding them until we see the finished product...

They should really just pick up BG3: the Black Hound again, because 1) it was 80% done before it was canceled, and 2) it was planned to be the first part of a new trilogy itself.
The only difficulty I'd have with Black Hound coming out now is that there's that wiki out there you mentioned earlier in the thread that tells all the essential features of the story already. Sort of anticlimactic for the wait, and I wasn't impressed with the storyline, at least as it was described. Still, a variant might be really good to see, and if it was intended as another trilogy, maybe there's more to the story. Maybe I'm just disappointed at no longer being a deity in BG3... Hard to come down from that...
BH was also intended for 3EDnD rules, so it would be curious to see it out in NWN1's DnD configuration. I like 3E better than 2E, less difficult to work with, more options, and all attributes were useful. In BG you can keep INT or WIS at 3 with no consequence. BH was also supposed to use the NWN1 360 Aurora engine, so... unless they're intending to reconvert BH to isometric...
