My Shepard is going to crush the hell out of both Miranda and Ashley......preferably from the back, as he's that kind of guy Image IPB

No sausage for him though...  I may do a Kaidan romance later on, but as FemShep.

So I'm curious. How many straight guys are going to try a gay romance option (and you cant cheat by engaging in lesbian/asari one).

Also if you are/arent why (or why not), curiosity, completionism etc etc

Also I dont know who the gay options are so no spoilers please

Nope. No interest.

I don't like other men. Do I need another reason? As my cousin has explained (he's gay as springtime btw) people like you make the rest of his community look like jackasses. I tend to agree with him he's a wise man, and his husband makes mean Indian food. Would you kindly go away? You're a blight!

I am straight so I can't really get myself into a m/m relationship, doesn't interest me. It would have to be m/f for me.

Or f/f

The responses from the male and female threads are kind of interesting some differences but some similarities too.

For interest, for both groups the same sex relations have come to late and their Shep is already committed to a romance option, a sexual orientation or no romances whatsoever. The inclusion is not really enough to lure people away.

As for the concept the women are much more open to the idea than the men

This is not to make you look bad whatsoever. You dont like other men, that is a perfectly valid reason. I was curious to see whether they people would pursue these. In RPGs many people do thing they would not normally do (extortion, sleeping wih prostitutes, taking bribes etc) I was just curious to see if such escapism appliied in this arena. Im a straight male and I have no intention of pursuing these options either. (also the fact that your cousin is gay is irrelevant, the argument is equally meritorious regardless of the source)

Thats because the stigma against gay male relationships in the Western World (especially in North America) is much greater than lesbian relationships.

Male homosexuality is inherently seen as unmasculine in the West, so many straight men fear to be associated with it in any way.

In other countries it's different, particularly in the middle east where a man does not lose his masculinity for engaging in sexual contact with another man, as long as he's the dominant one aka the penetrator.

I was making the observation although I do agree with the first part of you response but Im pretty sure the Middle Eastern region has a pretty tough stance on homosexuality (more so than western countries)

Despite appearances if you're higher up in society they don't care. They have the same mentality they had in their preIslam tribal days on the matter for those in power, as long as the masses believe they're rigidly religious of course.

Maybe. I don't know. I don't really enough ManShep nearly as much as FemShep. I suppose I might, but it's a tough call. Depends on how interesting Steve is as a character. I definitely will not be doing it for a ManShep/Kaidan run. I rather intensely disliked the FemShep/Kaidan romance, and can't see liking the ManShep/Kaidan any better, mostly because I really dislike Kaidan in general.

I might be more tempted if there was a ManShep/Joker romance option, but I'd probably just do that romance with a FemShep, because honestly, Joker's awesome, and deserves some love of the non-disembodied AI type.

my fem shep has kaiden, my main character male shepard has ashley. I tried the gay thing on dragon age, hey im open minded let people do what they do but watching two men grapple with a audience watching me play was.... awkward.

As a fairly straight dude (as far as me, my wife, and two kids know anyways), if I found out that Kaidan was 'bi' or 'hero-sexual' for ME3 (I have no idea if he will be, but it would make total sense if he 'came out'), I would totally romance him with my die-hard Paragon DudeShep. Those longing looks across his terminal in the SR1, telling me on Horizon that losing me was like losing a limb... yeah. It's just begging to be role played.

As for s/s with anyone else, most likely not; I only have gay eyes for Kaidan.

Nope. Seeing that would disgust myself, physically so. Apparently it's "homophobic" to say that though and apparently I'm supposed to dress like a metrosexual hipster and say something about how terrible, biased, and intolerant western civilization is and how it would all be better if there were no standards etc.

I'm not exactly 'qualified' to post in this thread, but yes, yes I will see the s/s romances. One can never see too many videogame romances.
