Seriously. People don't know how to use the Human Sentinel. That's why they prefer the Turian Sent. instead. Because it allows them to rush and tank like a monkey with diarrhea.

What is up with the hate on the Human Sentinel?. It was the first class I took to lvl 20 and I always loved using it for the extra shield and the Throw ability. It's great for taking down Guardians and I love creating a biotic explosion by combining Warp and Throw.

The problem with the Human Sentinel is that it is not a Sentinel (an Adept+Engineer hybrid), it's an Adept with Tech Armor. Also, the Asari Adept is ten times better than the Human Sentinel and can do all of the above and more.

My turian - I didn't bother to get warp. I'd rather get the increased weapon damage/stability, overload (it's superb against anyone really..neural shock is amazing), and more health/shields. So far, he's fantastic. Just walks into a room shocking and shooting while taking anything anyone has to throw at him.

Expose (rank 5) for Warp is incredible. It is a shame that so few players use it as it debuffs the target for 10 seconds or until detonated. It is far more useful than a base weapon damage increase, especially on higher difficulties, as it benefits the entire squad.

What difficulty do you play and what are your power's/weapon load out. I would really like to figure out how to make the human Sentinel work but apparently my build for her just failed.

Max out Tech Armor (all protection), fitness (all HP) and Alliance Training (all weap damage).
Equip Rev and Widow, turn on tech armor, blow up everything. Alternatively, Viper and Scimitar.
It makes a very simple, easy to play, durable and powerful class. Works great on Silver at least.
For the Turian Sent I also max out multi-target/stun Overload and roll with Viper/Scimi. More hp, plays the same and has the ability to neutralize shields and stun enemies.
There are more ways to play Sent of course, but those are my personal preferences and they work nicely. Top score nearly every run.

so I tested her out myself she was already level 20 from my turian.
Thing is she quickly becomes my favourite class and she's very efficient on the field. I'll go as far to say that she's one of the needed class in MP gold.
Maxed everything but tech armor. Wish I could use that one point into alliance training but it's still alright.
Get a scoped phalnax, and spam throw. It's good cause it hits targets from covers and I always follow it up with a roll. Shielded and armors and those goddamn turrets just use the warp + throw combo.
It's especially good if theres 1 or 2 asari spamming stasis. If you think this class is weak then you probably don't understand the ME games.
I truly think this class lives up to its name the Sentinel. Turians are great too but its a whole different style. Thats what I love about the ME games. And I played every class at level 20.

I'm sorry if you are not using your Tech Armor then just play an Asari Adept. Stasis makes them 1,000x better for Gold. Again, a Human Sentinel is just a gimped Asari Adept. Also, a Human Sentinel is not even a true Sentinel as they do not have a tech ability. They are basically a gimped Adept with Tech Armor. Sure you can make them work but I'll take the Asari Adept over them every single time.

Take the Widow and Scimitar and don't even bother with powers besides the occasional overload when necessary.

Uhhh what's the point of playing Sentinel if you're not going to use Tech Armor and only using Warp + Throw? Just go Asari.

Thats exactly the same thing I was thinking.
The human sentinel has throw, warp, and tech armor. Take away the tech armor and you basically have half an adept because lets face it, stasis/singularity is pretty much the main ability for either race. The human sentinel is simply not a standalone class/race if you need to rely on others to make it work (yes I'm aware you can do your own biotic explosions using warp+throw and to be frank, thats a waste of a cooldown).

Hows that make a turian any better? They still get tech armor. Overload and warp are good, but so is throw. I'd play a turian the same way, without tech armor. These ideas of heavy meleeing in silver and gold are rather silly. With tech armor and fitness you'll still drop like a dress on prom night.
Playing tactically and knocking things over with a 1s cooldown throw is a much better defense than tech armor.
