Can't seem to activate the alter/earthen jug sequence in ruined Temple. I know what to do and how.Just can't trigger anything ?? is this another bug.I fired my only elf (the Gay one)

1) Pick up earthen jug
2) Fill jug with water
3) Place jug on altar
4) Kneel and pray
5) Take a sip of water from jug
6) Take jug off of altar
7) Dump water back in pool

I think he forgot to mention there no Elf in the group,.. So when we spoke on phone I figured it was cause he's no an Elf and didn't have one in the party

Nope its because you didn't pick up the item that outlines the ritual from one of the boxes in a nearby room..its open and I missed it the first time.. as Metagaming is bad ...your character needs to know what to do or it will fail every single time..
