Is anyone else a little disappointed with the character creator? I mean you don't get to change thier clothes at all. You are stuck with certain talents/skills or spells from the very beginning instead of being able to truly personalize your character from the beginning. I love the ability to change so much of the appearance an all but I was really hoping to personalise the skill sets more.
Disappointed

.. why would you get to change the clothes? You'll get to personalize your skills later...

Did you really expect to choose your starting armor?
The skills and talents given are just base ones given based on origin and class. The game will allow you to choose one more skill and two more talents from the start.

I never dreamed I would choose my armor now, but there are any number of different types of clothng that could have been available to choose from. Tall boots, short boots, sandles, shoes, just for a small example.

It's your character's starting gear. You'll start changing it as soon as you get in game so who cares if you cant change it in the character creator.

Not so bothered about clothing or colours of clothing but body type would have been nice *shrug*

Yes, they cut out the Xena bikini armor, and Beach Patrol thong from the character creator which was available in the beta. So now all you get are the goofy default ones.

There will be many different kinds of clothing your characters can put on to change their appearance. If you want to have the same item in a different color, I imagine you will have to use the Toolset to fix it. A customization mod may come out,

A little disappointed, not much. I was frankly expecting it to be quite similar to Mass Effect's character creation, and was proven right - it has it's limits, but it doesn't hurt. I couldn't get the face to look the way I really wanted, but I'm sure it'll do... for a singleplayer game where nobody watches me. I noticed the facial expressions are a little less natural and a bit overdone compared to ME. But given that this game comes with a toolset, I'm sure quite a bit of custom content will fix things. Games with toolsets are a natural target for CC creators.

I think it is pretty good. It is clear you can get a good variety of characters, and can make very good looking characters very easily.
It is much better than ME. It allows you to see your character from all angles and even see them speaking. So you have a good idea what the character will actually look like in the game.
The ME CC was good, but more restricted and you couldn't be sure how your chacacter was going to look until you had played the opening credits and the first few dialogue scenes in a fairly dark environment. BW seems to have improved on this.

If you want to play dress up, you should visit a Toy R Us and buy a barbie.

Oh, I simply love playing dress up. But I can do that once the game actually starts.
I remember watching my step-daughter play Daggerfall for her first time, and when she bought new undies, she was startled to see a fully undrapped paper doll image. She screamed, "I'm naked!"
Lol.
Good luck to you all in your future adventures...

They could have made it possible to at least change the colors of starting armor, wouldnt be that hard, or add a few different looking but statwise the same armors to choose from. Not that hard either. A little more customization of the character was wanted from me as well, but I guess it will have to suffice

I have to agree because character customization is one of the things I most like in every game, but in the other hand I guess this will mean a better context, less visual weirdness on animations (ok they're a bit weird already), more concise and coherent stuff..
give the man too much freewill and he'll eventually destroy himself xD

All of which you would unequip within 30 minutes of playing when you find some warrior greaves or Boots of Speed or soemthing.
