Disappointed

Despite the fact this game is being developed by Bioware the fact it's being produced by EA has me concerned. I Fing hate EA with a passion, A PASSION. In the last 5 years every game EA has touched has turned to ashes. They don't ever fix what's broken and their account management is retarded. The last game from EA I enjoyed playing was Black and I'm surprised they didn't franchise it to death with how well it was recieved.

Is anyone else a little disappointed with the character creator? I mean you don't get to change thier clothes at all. You are stuck with certain talents/skills or spells from the very beginning instead of being able to truly personalize your character from the beginning. I love the ability to change so much of the appearance an all but I was really hoping to personalise the skill sets more.
It ain't Sims, dude.

My dissapointment isn't from the creators limitation or lack of it's how Fing glitchy the thing is. I still haven't been able to actually see my character it's just a big black shadow, I had to use the portrait to see what the hell I was doing and that's probably not all that acurate.
It's simple really. Your computer (likely the video card) is a piece of crap that can't properly render the image.
BUT IT'S OKAY BLAME EA.

You might want to check your notes. EA right now is completely different, they invested in a lot of new IPs e.g. Dead Space, and they got a lot more humble, with way more community support. Old EA is now "exploitable sequels" Activision with their latest "let's make them pay 10$ extra for MW2 JUST BECAUSE WE CAN".

Or perhaps his drivers are not up to date and his PC is more than capable.
You shouldnt throw about a wild prognosis if you dont have all the facts.

My computer is near top of the line and only 2 month old, the graphics card is a Nvidia 275 GTX so that isn't the problem. I render the image just fine there's a big black shadow that hovers over my image in a static position. I get glances at my character every few seconds. It's not hardware failure it's software related and I think I might know how to fix it.ITSSEXYTIME wrote...

lern2not be a d!ckbag
Edit: I was right it was a software issue, the settings to be exact. It had to do with the refresh rate.

If their support got a lot better I'd hate to see what it was like before it got better. The sims 3's site has had a serious issue for about 3 months with about 5 threads a day cropping up telling them so. So far nothing's been fixed and there's been no indication they even care to try fixing it. There's also a wierd glitch where people with new graphics drivers get DCed from the game about every 15-30 minutes that's been around since the last patch. They haven't released a patch for that and have basically told people "it's not our problem."CastorKrieg wrote...

Deadspace I wasn't too thrilled with it, although they didn't screw it up it was pretty average. It was supposed to be the scaries game ever made but it did that job poorly imo. The scariest game I ever played was The Thing. I'd personally take Activision charging me $70 on a game I'll like than charging me $50 on a game that doesn't work.
Like I said in the last 5 years they haven't been able to make a good game. C&C was old EA back when they were a fantastic company. But over the years they got too large and became greedy. That greed lead to a degredation in the companies quality.dinodr_neil wrote...
I love the C&C series. Other than Red Alert 3. I have been with C&C since the very first one first came out though. I would have to agree with your assessment of thier account management though.

I still like the new ones that have been comeing out though. Generals and C&C 3 are awesome games. The expansions just make them better. I am really looking forward to the next ones. I am not so sure about any Red Alert games that come out though. I may be forced to either find a demo to download or rent it for a day before I buy it. I just did not like Red Alert 3 or its expansion.
