I've played with quite a few women on the Xbox demo. Some were from this site and others were random squadmates. I gotta say... It's refreshing to play with females for a change and the women seem to play better than the male squadmates. They concentrate on teamwork and don't care about individual scores or medals, IMO.

I've probably played with more women and don't know it since most women I've encountered won't speak until they know I'm not a perverted teenager. It's amazing how much crap I've heard people give female gamers. It's no wonder why most play with their mic muted.

I know this is true for me. I try to get in lots of headshots for kills, but I often find myself making sure flanks are covered, that everyone is holding their position okay, and that we're getting targets taken care of on time. I like to coordinate more than get kills...often that means I'm running from one battle zone to another, not concentrating on racking up kills, and that's fine with me. 

But don't take this to mean I'll be your personal rez pony. If you bein' stupid, I ain't comin' to getcha.

BioWare forums tend to skew older and more female than generic 'gaming forums.'

Elferin91,I always assumed ME gamers were older and more mature than most gamers. I don't know very many young people that play ME. For example, I'm a 29 year old male and most of my ME friend are in their late 20's or 30's.

CDRSkyShepard, you sound like a good squadmate to have on a team. I get tired of people rushing in and dying while trying to rack up the most kills. I don't care who has the highest score as long as we complete the level. Hit me up on Xbox if you need a quality teammate (I know I could use a few). My Gamertag is RKZ Galvatron.

We are 40% of the gamer population...so put that in your pipe and smoke it.   We just don't say what we are most times...to avoid male reactions that include private messaging,  stalking and other kinds of creepy behaviours.


We are gamers plain and simple, and that should not worry you in the slightest.    We make good team mates.

42% actually~ If statistics are to be believed~     But yes~  It is an unfortuntely depressive discussion about why female gamers are supposively more hidden (which they aren't) .  That whole~ debate.. ties into social psychology, media representations, perspective reality and a bunch of ostensibly doleful subjects that will make your view on the world; grey, dreadful and sad~

Instead! Play games, be happy~ High five female and male alike (especially those hermaphrodite vanguards, be wary of those! But high five none the less!)

I so wish I had a headset...actually, a lot of people I've played with don't have them. Which I find weird. Though I can usually tell when people are annoyed that I "steal their kills" when they try and smack me upside the head while we wait for the next wave.

I'm 20, since I didn't mention it in my previous posts.
