I'm on the PC and PS3 but I have to be honest and say that I haven't had the courage to try the MP. I want to but just watching my male friends play BBC3 has turned me off MP games. My skills are okay but I play for fun and don't need rude remarks about whether I suck or not, lol.

You should give ME3's MP a try. I have yet to play with someone who makes rude remarks or yells at me for something. Most MP games nowadays are PvP, whereas ME3 is co-op. Makes a big difference, in my opinion.

well this is weird, always thought that gamer population on forums are around 18-25. or is this just female population?

BioWare forums tend to skew older and more female than generic 'gaming forums.'

CDRSkyShepard, lol, that happens to me too. I never served our great country (thanks for that, btw) but I do shout out things like "hostiles, six o'clock" which most don't realize means "enemy behind us", hardly anyone knows what flank or suppressing fire means, and the best is the complete silence that follows when I say "I'm almost to your location, give me a sitrep".

My biggest complaint is the following:

Teammate: "Two Phantoms are over here! Help!"

Me: "Where is 'here'?"

Teammate: "Right next to the ammo crate!"

Me: *facepalm*

Hahaha, I'm a pilot, so I always tell people "Watcherass," and "Check six." I think I have a pretty good handle on vocabulary for locations on Firebase White, but the other map is a bit more confusing. I think I use "Courtyard," "Landing Zone," "That one building by the landing zone," and "side yard." If we're in the buildings, we just say, "I'm in the buildings" and usually it's easy to find people if you just figure out where the shizzy is going down.

My favorite is this:

"I'm down! Rez me!"

"Where are you?"

"By the turret!"

:? "Um...yeah, no. Sorry, not going in there." XD

Better to let them be and have them come back next wave than get yourself killed. @masseffect called me insightful on twitter for this remark I made: "Teamwork sometimes means being there for your buddies, but sometimes it means not becoming part of the problem. #StillAlive." LOL.

Thanks! ^-^ Having a bit of military training pays off...although, I have to explain the things I yell out sometimes, like "Contact Left!"

"Huh?"

"It means they're shooting at us from the left, just SHOOT THEM!" Lol.

For the record, I'm 21.

I'd actually prefer that to people taking five minutes to yell a bunch of incomprehensible instructions. I grew up with three brothers so I know some of that military jargon. I probably owe it to them for the reason I'm so hooked on sci-fi stuff instead of My Little Ponies. ^_^

It's a shame I can only seem to find competent players on the forums and not in the actual game. I know there are great players online, but it is a challenge to end up in the same lobby as them.

CDR, screw turrets! Nothing makes me cower in a corner and cry like the sound of a turret firing at me. The worst part is when my teammates ignore my screams of, "Engineer at the landing pad!", and instead focus their attention on being the one to kill the Atlas.

Start a game yourself, set it to private and then either invite people you know or just play solo as you get used to it. Most classes can solo a few rounds on bronze from the get go.

Agreed. Most randoms I've played with are average players, I almost never play Gold though, so I don't mind that much. Except when someone uses a Cobra missile on a group of four Assault Troopers.

Turrets are the ones that kills me the most, though that would be because I have a severe lack of patience, not their effectiveness.

OH MAI GAWD. The minute people figured out I could rez while cloaked, they were like, "Quick! Cloak and rez me!" And I was like, "Uh, no....you got yourself in trouble with a lot of baddies and the minute I rez you, my cloak will run out of juice and we'll both die because the zone is TOO DAMNED HOT. Y'understand me?"

jreez, I'm so glad you understand, too. *Notices avatar* Infiltrators FTMFW.

@Zwei - Most people I play with don't have problems, probably for similar reasons. Lol. I suspect the n00bs that don't understand me are the twelve year olds who think being good at Halo or CoD will make them good at this game.

GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE. Lol. I am always getting on my posse's case re: killing the Combat Engineers. "I'm trying to destroy the turret!" "We're all trying to destroy it, someone target that guy before he can lay down more!!!"

Phantoms are gnarly, too. But I think Infiltrators and asari Adepts are best equipped to handle them...the key is to not let them get close, but dang, if they do...it's SCARY. My friend and I tangoed with four once. That was a different kind of fun...the kind I never want to have again...

^This, My cloak may make it easier to rez you, it does not however, make me invincible. Just sayin. Not saying i won't attempt to rez people, but sometimes it's just not worth it haha.

But when they DO get close, then it's a job for a Krogan Soldier. Mine's at level 12ish and a heavy melee hit will kill or almost kill, depending on if I've put a shotgun round into them or not. ^_^

Don't worry guys. I've noticed most good players enjoy the follow mode when we're the last ones alive and save the day by beating the rest of the wave if they're all dead. OTOH I feel bad when I'm dying near a trap turret or a hot zone and I can't warn them to let me go because I don't have a mic since my wife stole my headset off to her office. Oh well, didn't have. She just gave me a table/monitor one to make ammends and prepare to the real thing next week. =)

Girl gamer here, play on PS3.

PSN: Upperkill

I've layed off the MP from the demo for now because I don't wanna cry when all my progress doesn't transfer over to the main game haha, but in the coming days I will be picking it up again, and of course when the full game comes out I will be available.

Do you people usually tell your team how you died? I try to so people trying to rez me know if they're about to walk into a pair of Phantoms or a turret crossfire.

CDR, I didnt figure it out till the other day that Engineers can repair turrets - I thought they just replaced ones that were destroyed. IMO, they are the biggest threat on the battlefield.

I deal with Phantoms pretty easily with my Turian Sentinel. It's suicide to battle them up close with anything other than a Krogan, so I'll just pick them off with Overload and Warp from a safe distance.

Is Infiltrator that good of a class? It's the only class I haven't used.
