What is this "Sarcasm" you speak of? I know it not.

Seriously though, I do mean it. And not just because I would enjoy the female company. It gives me hope that maybe one day I might meet a nice girl of similar interests. Probably over the internet, but anyway...

Idk, does it make you a girl player?

No. I'm a guy, but I can get my sister to yell at me in the background.

Well, since you’re obviously not a female gamer or supporting them in any way, why are you even posting here?

I don't think I've played with any other girls, but I'm a pretty obvious female sentinal in flaming pink gear (though I like to change the color a bit every battle just to keep things fresh). I try to team up with my boyfriend, but he can be such a douche and steal all the kills--he's way better at shooters than I am. Just a guess here, after reading what others have said about playing with girls, I think girl teams would be a bit more supportive and less likely to tail you just to steal your kill!

I wanted to see if there were any funny replies in this thread.

I was disappointed with the abundance of seriousness.

Bye now.

Guess they are smart, think for a second what would happen if one spoke on mic.

Got a soldier boyfriend here with grenades who just LOVES sneaking after me, hunting down my low HP victims, lol.

Btw, seeing my male friends parading around in pink gear doesn't make being a girl so obvious anymore  :(.

Well I have played ME3 MP with a least 5 girl gamers and I'm gonna say that they are a lot better than most guys. They will go to the objectives and actually cover you, they will stick together most of the time and in general they tend to kick ass HARD!

I use my mic in public matches. I have no issue with being recognized as a girl. It frequently leads to harassment/spam messages/friend requests(just so they can have a girl on their list) so I can completely understand why a lot of girl don’t use theirs.  Especially in Mass Effect – it’s not like you can kick their ass to get them to shut up like in a free for all FPS.

Maybe because most girls are less focused on their egos and more focused on having fun….

I used to get on the mic a lot for Halo matches. If I said anything on the mic, I would often end up with guys (often tween/teen guys, based on the voices) asking me over and over "Are you a girl?"

I would say yes, and then they would argue with me that I'm not really a girl, but either a little boy or a gay male with a girly voice... Of course there was no possibility I might actually be female...

On the other hand, some people didn't care whether I was a chick or a dude and talked strategy with me.

Have your sister do the talking. Or better yet, your mom. Haha

I play on X-box and use a mic, but I have one of those weird "made for radio" voices that make me sound like an over-enthusiastic 14-year-old cartoon character instead of a 21-year-old woman. Guess that's my way of keeping the bros off my grill.

Bioware is true to it's RPG roots so that in multiplayer, like all MMO-RPGS, EVERYONE in the party/squad GETS ALL THE SAME EXPERIENCE, regardless of who does the actual killing --so it doen'st matter if someone gets 100 kills & you get 0 kills, 0 assists --you still get ALL the same experience total.

At the end of the match, everyone's score is totaled into the squad total experience & the entire squad gets its all equally. The leaderboards & different bar lengths just show how much each person contributed to the total that everyone gets

So you DON"T have to worry about kill-stealing anymore -- this is fair & important since some classes with their decoys & crowd controls  won't rack up as much kills

*cough cough attractive cough* girl gamer here.

I keep my head set off because to be honest I really don't want men to talk about things that I already know and know more about. It's annoying.

Like last night I was one MP and these two dudes were just derping all over the place.

"Yeah don't go in to the last mission with any thing less then 5k EMS."

Me- "Yeah dude we alreay know that! Shut up!"

Little things like that, although intended as humorous, don’t help give girl gamers a good name. Don’t we want men to judge us on our ability and not our looks?

Most of us work our asses off to look good in our real lives, where we are constantly judged on looks alone.  I question your motive for making that the opening line of your post.

Yeah I don't blame the women folk that don't like to identify themselves. On the rare occasions my GF plays xbox she uses my gamertag and there is often a very quick change in peoples behaviour once she speaks on the mic....

Personally I don't care who I'm playing with so long as they're bringing it for the team

This sums it up really. Throw me the odd revive now and don't run off on your own and I am a happy bunny. Anything else is a bonus.

I dont really get why some guys tend to go all crazy when there's a girl playing. After all, what can be done once they realize there's a girl online?

Unfortunately, the immature ones seem to think that they'd be doing us a favor by being our friends. Alot of these are preteen/teens. I understand younger kids wanting to play (I was 14 when Halo: Combat Evolved came out, so I understand the draw to multiplayer, it's cool) but if you can't be mature enough to treat girls like people, you ruin the game for everyone.

When you do run in to a gamer guy who has a girlfriend, or is mature enough to not view a gamer chick as a mystical creature,  they tend to be pretty cool about playing with a girl in the party. Basically, men who can deal with women in real life tend to deal with us well in mpImage IPB

Years ago on the original Xbox I tried MechAssault multi-player with a friend's account and got the same response. Seriously? The idea of a woman playing a video game is that alien to them?

Now it's irrelevant. The only multi-player game I own other than ME3 is UNO (well, I think a couple of others might have online access, but UNO is the only one I've played against other people), so I don't even know where my headset is. I know I still have it stored away somewhere but I don't think it's worth trying to dig it out.
