I dont really get why some guys tend to go all crazy when there's a girl playing. After all, what can be done once they realize there's a girl online?
Any Girl Players out There??

You mean... We can actually do that over the internet?!
I've been missing out not adding female gamers then

If more guys thought that way the gaming world would be a much friendlier place...
It'll happen I think, there are allot more female gamers out there now then there used to be and the numbers are growing.
besides, the women I've played MP with on ME3 are pretty handy with a sniper rifle, and ruthless, heads flying everywhere - I aint messing with them thats for sure

I can't even say it's because of male harassment either, I just learned that "randoms = teh dumbz" aeons ago playing MMOs and having to deal with the idiocy of most PUGs.

Haha! I've been told that exact thing by both my guy and my friends. I think it's a result of constantly having to prove ourselves.

You have to see it to believe it. My GF has actually showed me. What happens ranges from
* explaining to the "Female" how the game works - In ME3 terms imagine how patronsing it would be to have someone explain things to you when your say a level 15 Infiltrator ?
* "Protecting them" - running around after them trying to make sure they don't get "Harmed" - Getting everyone else to "Be Nice" in the group.
* Cracking sexist jokes to see how they'll react
* Assuming they won't be good at the game because they are not male - then telling them that because its "funny"
* Chatting people up - I mean seriously if you wanna chat someone up there are better places to do it then xbox live. I don't want to be cringing while some Geth is trying to light my ass on fire.
* Constant stupid questions - "So your into gaming then?"
* And then theres the ego thing !! - some guys don't like being beaten by the fairer sex
As I said I completely understand why allot of female gamers stay off the mic
As a male its embarassing listening to it. Just get your gun and shoot anything that moves already
EDIT: I don't want to give the impression that the above happens all the time, it doesn't, thankfully most of the guys playing just play as normal and its no big deal. Its just a minority.
Can't be seen to be damning my own gender

If you can play as a team and provide my some cover fire and/or just entertaining (read: don't take things too seriously. Even Gold games are meant to be fun) then I couldn't care less what gender you are.
Good point. Girl or not, there are plenty of ways to entertain without sacrificing the game. I personally find it fun to dress my asari in...horrible...ways. My boyfriend says it improves team morale, and it always gets laughs.
Tends to be a fun icebreaker in random matches.
Some people suck all the fun out of Mp by taking themselves too seriously.

Well, I'm a dog. For a dude, at least. I've been on Live for about 5 years now, and I have met one (ONE!) female player in all that time. Part of me still believes Female Gamers are Urban Myths. Like Batman, Atlantis and the man that understands women.
What I'm trying to say here is, you go girls. Good to have you. Glad you're out there. It's a woman's world, and I just look in from the outside. Not that I like watching girls play. I mean... oh, darn, and I had started out so nicely...
What? No. I don't even want to hear it. Batman is REAL.

You think about it, that may explain Vanguards. They're not bad, they have just lost all dignity and want to end it all! Hot pink demise!
Remember that Phoenix Armor from ME1? Don't think for a moment everyone except Ashley didn't forget what you've done!

Imagine lime green armor with hot pink bust/stomach/butt. Like a watermelon. Two nights ago one of my friends said “Your ass…asari…I can’t stop staring at her.” His wife took a picture and tagged me in it on facebook. Best mp night ever.
Girl gamers know how to have fun!

I found it funny that Kaidan wears it during the ME2 opening.

I've had stalkers................. TWICE! I think I've learned what to share after that. Some things you REALLY have to keep to a minimum, online, and my husband and I have a clear agreement on what is shared with others online.
On top of your list above. LOL

The OP must be new to gaming. Otherwise there is not need to create this topic. Ever since Videogames were created, females kept away from it. There are few girls playing videogames. Even fewer play MP. And only a tiny fraction of those girls who do actually allow their gender to be revealed. It's a fact.

Or the OP wanted exactly what she said...to find other girl gamers. There's more of us than you think, and this is an easy way to network.
And girls who hide their gender frequently do so to protect themselves. We get harassed. I don't care if other players know I'm a girl, but I also grew up around guys. so I can take whatever crap they give me.
As far as stalkers go, that is a problem, but as long as you don't give out our info you're fine. Just block them. I've met some of my best guy friends on xbox live, who are now real life friends, some of who drove across country just to hang out. You just have to be carefull.
