It's easy: stumble upon an LFG topic, add one, play with her and her friends, and be a decent person. Wasn't intentional, but you made me realize something like this just happened to me. (see what I did there?)

I added someone who has you in their friends list too, and he has a ton of female friends on his list. Maybe he's the same person. I'm not sure if I should play with him.. This person I mean added alot of people from this forum. He might be some digital pimp hoarding.. I dunno

I considered adding some people from this thread but..

Went to your profile to check and see who's that person but realised you had your profile set to private. Oh well....not sure if it's the same person, but the one I was talking about has been pretty good and fun to play with, no creepy vibe at all XD. Mind pm-ing who you were talking about??

So far I've yet to play with anyone creepy that friend requested me, if I see any, they get kicked out of the revolving door on sight. *looks at the Widow lying on the table*



@NotPotato I totally see what you did there. Haha....yeah, I noticed that too  Lucky you eh? I generally tell my friends to add the ones I find to be fun to play with, mature and uses the mic. They do the same too.

I agree. Girl goin' online with mic is gonna get spammed with idiotic messages/offers. I forbid my better half playing online with mic, mainly because I want to teleport through my X360 and slit their throats whenever I hear/read what they are saying.

Really, You had to ask? You shouldn't need people to state the obvious for you.
I myself play Mass Effect and tonnes of other games on a regular basis, Multiplayer & Single. Being a girl has nothing to do with it. It doesn't make me any special, or different in any way. I'm just the same as any other players, I play games because I enjoy doing so.

Yeah, well, just cause a gal can handle losers doesn't mean that she should have to or that she wants to. I understand that guys will be guys and when I'm with my guy friends a little risque stuff doesn't bother me at all, but when I'm online with a bunch of strangers, it's the last thing I want to deal with because I don't know them and they don't know me, and it's awkward.

I mean really. I'm on the wrong side of 35, and I don't enjoy being harassed by strangers who should know better.

I personally would not be cool with my husband trying to forbid me. I'm old enough to make my own choices and I can certainly take care of myself. Also, I don't know if it's better on pc but the few times I've talked, people have treated me like any other gamer.

Yup, so far no jerks yet. PC rules! :innocent: And it's not like some of us can't handle ourselves. We can just tune down the volume, or just not reply to the idoicy.

I have a few female friends that play ME3 on pc and ps3. Even before playing ME3 the majority of them stayed away from using there mics because of guys who would act stupid and overly boastful. I don't blame them. The OP has a good reason.

Are males really that dumb and hopeless that they turn into utter idiots whenever they hear a female speaking? Or just using teh intertubez? It's kinda scary that so many posts report such behavior. Anyway - the question of difference between number of male and female players depending on age and country (you bet!) would make quite an interesting research ;]
