It shouldn't matter if you're a boy or a girl. I really don't see the need to harass girls i meet online. I mean, I don't go jumping up and down like some mental dog on coffee when I meet a girl up the shops it's not a big deal and it shouldn't be online either. However I do feel girls bring it partly on themselves for not talking on mic much. If they're a rarity then the immature group of guys are just going to continue taking it as such a big deal. Integrate with the community more. Be proud to be a girl gamer and let this nonsense cease to be. This is the 21st century after all.

^ Well said. I talk on the mic very rarely, and if I do its normally to congratulate the team on a good performance at the end of a game....some reactions to hearing a female voice are quite funny at times....and usually patronizing..."Woah, you're a girrrrrrl? nice playing man?!" as if its such a surprise :(

:(

I can sympathise more than most because I'm from england and whenever I talk on the mic to congratulate or warn someone of an imminent phantom they resort to saying "woah, are you from England? Do you eat lots of crumpets and do you know the queen?"

Facepalm and turn off mic, shaking head vigorously.

When you play PUGs, expect people to not use mic. I only ever played PUGs' on Bronze. It gets boring without any banter during the match, so I just play with friends.

Find people on the groups that are available on BSN, like Bronze Effect, most of the use the mic. Make friends with them, play with them regularly and you are bound to play with their friends, who, in most cases, also uses the mic. Add them and expand your network of players who use the mic that way.

i've quite a number of people on my list and most of them use mic.

Boring you say?
Mics you say?
Banter you say?
 PUG's you say?

Anyways I always liked using mics... A bunch of us even started talking about the ending... We eventually understood what the reapers were doing and why. Talking and banter makes it more fun.

Now a pug

Why is it necessary to find female players? What does gender matter here?

Bonjour,

I am a very handsome Frenchman, noob player and I am looking to find American people to help me learn to play Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer.

For some reason, I find myself more able to understand girls' accents, so boys, thanks for the help, but I can't understand you. My understanding of English is abyssal and only hot... friendly (!) American girls can help me play the game better.

I will be glad to reward any help with good wine and French (kiss) lessons.

...

What, wrong thread ?

I'm really sorry that Americans ask you such stupid questions sometimes.

Of course you eat a lot of crumpets and know the queen.

Those comments don't always come from Americans... I have heard this from a Italian a Scotsman I even knew a Russian guy who made comments such as that.. Gota love your generalization though.<_<

I'm of the lesser gender (the testosterone-bleeding kind), I can't describe how hard it is, to live among these hormonally-charged buffons on a daily basis. (srs face)
Origin ID: Archangel1050
99% of the time I play as a Salarian Infiltrator sniper (dat Widow), try my best to be a team player, although I warn you, I am somewhat overzealous when it comes to having the highest score.  Usually play on Sliver, although I wouldn't mind a Gold match or two.

I am of the superior gender and I can't describe how hard it is to debate with "Woman are the superior race or we want to have the same right but when it gets difficult please protect me" people who also have the annoying complaining behaviour.

The only highscore you have is for stupidity

I lol'ed.

Honestly, I would have told you to keep on talking while I swoon (or try hard to understand the accent...). Gotta love those English or Australian accents...if they are understanable.

All I am ever graced with when I say  something is thundering silence. I didnt say enough to wonder if ppl understood me, not being a native speaker and all, but I know for a fact my mic is working.

Now, don't go on being the voice of reason here!

Same reason women need women only for everything. Think about it.

Not sure if you mean comments directed at English in which case I doubt very much you heard a Scotsman say something like those previous comments to an English person being that we are like right next door to them and share a rather close nit society.

You are right however that not all daft comments just come from Americans but in all honesty I've personally yet to hear a daft comment directed towards an American but heard quite a few from Americans. Granted half the time I think they are just trying to be funny.

This is incorrect.  I've seen the 1995 Mel Gibson led Anglo-Scot War chronicled in the documentary film of the same year, Braveheart.
