I actually read this entire thread (though mind you it took me some time, before work, during lunch break on my phone, lol) 46 pages is a lot of people saying the same basic thing.
I always find it funny how girls are so pampered by guys. Cant say I haven't seen guys use female charcters in MMO's to get free stuff. I have to disagree with the whole "Girls play more conservative" gag. It all depends on the person in general, gaming background, play-style etc. and less about gender.
It is true however that guys act differently around girls, but its the same the other way around too. Either way, its just a game and we're all adults looking to have a good time playing with those who enjoy doing the same things we do.
My wife is a gamer, though not a huge fan of ME3, we normally end up playing more lighthearted games like Dance Central, Fruit Ninja Kinect, Lego games and such. Would love if she played more Mass Effect, but that just means more for me right?!
When it comes to all of my games I am always more Tactical, coordinating strikes, "I got this rez", "I got this flag", "Missile out", "Your back just got punched twice"(lol), that kinda stuff stems from my Battlefield style squad based gameplay. Most of my friends seem to be the same way too, tho I have a girl on my list who is ALL about the competition, getting the highest score, most headshots kinda thing. Got more guys on my list that are like that MAINLY because girl gamers are so hard to find. No matter what though, we all always have fun, regardless of gender.

On a side note, one of the girls on my list was one of those "I hate the ending of ME3 so much that im going to sell/throw out all my ME games and EA/Bioware games and never play any of their games ever again." Which is just kinda sad
