I'd imagine that we all play the game for fun, right? Does it really matter about gender? I personally think that it doesn't, but obviously since people seem too stupid to realise this, then that's why I can't go a game without hear the same old "Girl gamers aren't real" or something along those lines. I'd rant on some more, but I can already tell that 1. It won't make a difference, and 2. I'm probably going to get hate for my opinion.

I must be lucky -- I have not had one bad experience in ME3 multiplayer based on gender (I'm on PS3).

I mean, I realize I have a gender-neutral name (DragonRacer13), but I use a mic. It's pretty obvious I'm a chick.

All interactions with the menfolk have been excellent. Had two guys outright ask if I was a girl, and when I confirmed I was, they just thought it was cool. Another fellow had a sister who gamed and said he wished more girls played video games 'cuz it's fun (and something you can share as a couple).

Only other experience I can remember that was gender-related was in a bronze game when all the other teammates went down. I was the only one with a mic and proceeded to solo Wave 10 with my Geth Engineer... and throughout it, the guys sent me encouraging messages like "You got this!" and "Yeah, kickass!" Completed the wave, my fallen teammates rose from the dead, and we extracted. Got one last message saying "You are one badass woman LOL".

Sad to hear others are having bad experiences.

It doesn't matter if my teammate if a girl or not. I treat her as anyone else. Revive her if I can, boot her if she's a vanguard on gold and not host, and leave her to die if three phantoms are having a picnic on her body.

I don't see what the big deal is. Also, I play on PC and it's quiet here so no way to tell (my kroguard is pink so let's not go there).

most of us don't care if you are a guy or a gal. I just care if you are cool and will back me up in MP...(when I used to play that.) That is the way it was for us in counterstrike source. we had 3 gals in our clan and they were just part of the team like everyone else.

Most guys don't care.

It's funny only I got in a private lobby and said 1 sentence and it went completely silent for more than 3 seconds. Once we started playing it went much smoother.

I am the kind of player who has fun winning, loosing or making stupid mistakes in the game.

Ran into my first talkative female player this weekend. One of the other guys in the match was fawning all over her rather disgustingly and we wiped on a couple of waves because he was too busy trying to keep the Reapers from 'the lady' and not holding the line. A bit over the top, I thought.

True. But I even like to play with people who "suck" because I love when I teach them how to play and improve their experience.

but there is only 1 thing that I don't like...

I don't like when my teammate go to the other side of the map alone, that is the only thing.
