As others have said this is not true. I roll with both male and female characters (I spec them differently) and you would never be able to tell by looking at the colored armor that I am a woman. I hate 'girly' colors like pinks and purples although I did use purple on my VSol because I thought it looked hilarious.

I've met a few girls in the MP on the 360. Every time I do, though, I have to ask myself, "Girl, or prepubescent boy?" Really no way to be sure with the demographics on the Xbox.
Still can't help but be surprised at the disparity between how many guys vs. girls play the game, at least in terms of what people use mics. None of the people I play with regularly are chicks.

Only have encountered a few women on this game. The first two made me want to tear my ears off as she squealed every time a husk grabbed her and the other wouldn't stop talking about how drunk she got the night before. The most recent one is generally quiet, but have listened to her talk to a fellow player enough to know she's a researcher.
Don't care who you are when you're playing a game, as far as I'm concerned you're just another teammate. I'm always looking for a regular crowd to play with, but have not been successful thus far. If you're on the Xbox and wouldn't mind adding me, tag is forum name.

actually you can welcome with open arms rather than getting petrified and hiding under the bed or running away ..for a banshee the trick might work but the situation is far more worse here

I play with anyone only in game factors matter, its the freaking internet why does it matter the gender? Sad that some people see playing with a women on the team as victory somehow, but anyways hope they get better...
Most girls I meet on xbox live, I had no idea they were girls till they turn up the mic and even then I though they were just young male kids for days. Some hide they gender on purpose and I dont blame them at all(just read one random page of this, yup I would too), but it should not be needed in order to be treated equally. I was mistaken by a girl and stalked a few day, used mic once he "disconected" and offline for weeks now and bad review on me, was a cool experience.

Find fun stuff that where a female post her GT the view count on the thead goes through the roof. I sense trollage going on here somewhere too.
