You've had bad luck. I added like 25 friends to my list from playing with randoms on ME3. added another guy last night that lives in the same area as me lol. Now i rarely have to play with randoms. at worst I ususally always have at least 1 friend to play with so its better then 3 randoms

I like it when there are 1 or 2 women players in the team. Generally women players are more helpful and considerate of the team's needs than guys. Not saying that guys aren't, just women are more so.

Purely my own anecdotal observation, but it seems there's an above average number of the fairer sex in ME3 mp.  For example, the other night I was the only guy in a full lobby, which I've never seen before in a mp game.  I have a couple theories as to why this may be:

• Because of the prevalent role that strong female characters already had in the ME series, this franchise probably already had a higher than average number of female players to begin with.
• Female gamers gave the ME3 mp a try because being co-op and not competitive in nature it's more focused on team work.  This is in contrast with the pvp structure of most shooters that invites all the boorish behavior that goes with it which is a turn-off for a lot of gamers, not just females.
• When they tried the ME3 mp, they found a community that relative to other shooters, was older and nerdier (not meant as an insult) and therefore far more welcoming and less harrassing than other mp shooter communities.  Doodbro alphas are fairly scarce in this game, 'cept for Shep of course...

Honestly, I'm never sure who is what since I typically play with my headset off and my mic muted. This is mainly because I like being able to hear the sounds the enemies make. Helps me locate them and (sometimes) prevents them from getting the jump on me.
