I have wanted my femshap to have long hair, I know its not really pratical in a sense if femshap had long hair but I always wanted there to be a sense of growth along with my hair in ME and was really hoping for the option to make femshep's hair a little bit longer in ME3
Anyone else feel the same way about femshep or just normal shepard?
Femshep and no long hair??

We may have that option. We may not know until we get the game. I think default FemShep is a good "longer hair" option.

Although the hairstyles in ME3 are "longer" they arent really what I was hoping for either. I was hoping for something more along the lines of Ashley's or Miranda's hair. But I can live with the current hairstyles.

I recall there was talk of whatever was in the demo, is also only what is in the full game. Dont hold me onto it tho

What I have seen stated here that what we see in the demo IS NOT the only thing in the final version.

I don't understand why the pulled back hairstyles are so puffy. No one's hair looks like that when it is pulled back into a bun. And they ruined the ponytail style with little bits of hair hanging out on the sides. Boo. Boo, indeed.

Perhaps when you’re aboard the Normandy she could let her hair down…

I prefer the crew/Caesar cuts.

The newer hairstyles look either poofy and/or dislocated from her head. I like default FemShep's hair, but none of the new ones from the demo.slyborg wrote...

Bioware said there was going to be longer hair so im guessing its going to be in the actual game.

You can have longer hair, it is tied up into a pony tail or bun. There is no reason to have long flowing hair on the battlefield.

My guess would be that clipping issues with all the different armor collars prevent long "Ash" length hair to be a reality.

My femshep's hair has grown progressively throughout the games, in ME3 I wanted it a bit longer but apart from styles where the hair is pulled back in a ponytail or bun there's really no other option apart from one and I really don't like it, hope they add more if not already in there.

Hell theres no reason to have hair on the battlefield period, its an inconvience in every sense, dosnt stop people from doing it though. Bald is the most efficient hair style.

The only reason I can say fshep and mshep can have longer hair dos is because they were coming off of civilian duty with Cerberus I can see them showing back to Earth with non military approved hair and if they get the 6months of desk duty that we find them in on the demo it continues to make sense why shep can have long hair. I'd at least like fshep to have it as long as Ash or Miranda maybe even get a toggle for it so you can toggle it up or down depending on where she is or just do what they did in the reckoning use your bathroom, rest room, ect mirrors and then you can change shep's hair style and color along with scars and makeup. I really liked doing that in the game everytime I went home I could make my character get ready for a new day sure a very girlish thing to do but considering I kept her in the Shepard armor the entire game it added variety that her clothing choices couldn't.
While we're on the subject of options hopefully we can change fshep's clothing material to be cotton based since it looks like she's in a leather tank top and vaccum sealed plastic hoodie. I think that hoodie fits her tighter then the Asuka's and Rei's Eva suits and that's not good.

Yeah, the fact that there's only one real ponytail option is bothersome, whereas there are a half dozen buns. I don't think having hair tied back in a tail is unrealistic but the loose strands... /sigh
Good idea in theory, but their so rigid that they end up annoying. It's a shame too, as I think that the ponytail option sans strands would be perfect.

So far in all ME I have been disapointed with the hair choices.
I mean there really is only 2 options that suit my taste for femshep and none would be my first choice.
I end up really liking my character, but when I am in the character creator, I end up "settling" on a hair style because it's "good enough" and not because I want it.
Longer hair would be a good start. I agree.

Guys, look at the developer side.
Long hair is the nightmare of every modeller and animator.
When femshep turns, the hair has to fly. if she ducks down, the hair needs to react to that movement.
If it doesn't happen, it will look like a helmet and not like the dynamic stuff hair are.
THAT is the cause you'll barely see long hair in any game.

We'll Have to wait and see how it turns out in game.
I'm hopeful though. Femshep's hair has a bit of movement to it.

I noticed even the default FemShep long hair has a few little clipping problems with the neckpiece on Tech Armour

Yes, I so hope we get it but I doubt it.
Btw in terms of hair-flying - Miranda never got it flying, it stuck to her head and back and no one complained. Ash's new hair is a bit better, but I doubt its very moveable.
Actually, if Ash's hair is a separate model, maybe modders will find a way to get it. We can only hope.

Ha! Bioware can do a lot of things right, but there are four things that they have forever been incapable of doing. (no hard feelings)
1. Sheathing/holstering weapons
2. Mounts of any sort
3. Vehicle physics/combat (rails don't count)
4. And hair.
You mine as well be hoping that Epic releases a game with normal proportioned humans in it. It ain't happening any time soon.

Pretty much this. Not to mention they forced enough faux femininity on Shepard already. Long hair would only exacerbate this.
