I didn't read Mass Effect: Retribution haven't been able to find a copy at any of my local book stores, but yesterday I spent most of the day listening to the audio version so finally know the full story of it and Kai Leng's involvement in it. I'm really looking forward to putting an end to him and TIM once and for all in ME3.

Nick was an advanced biotic 15 years old not 13 insisted on helping Kai Leng.
Kai Leng asked Nick multiple times if he was sure about helping?
He didn't use him as human shield. Nick was suppose to wait in ambush  and attack Grayson he saw Kahlee first and froze messsing up the plan. Nick got shot by Grayson and Kai Leng rushed in to engage Grayson in hand-to-hand combat

Kai leng has so many secret  i think he be a great squaddie and he would not be the first crazy murderer  squaddie remember Jack. i think it be interesting and the game is all about gatheriing resources, maybe they do a Loghain/Zevran

I would shoot him in the kneecaps so he won't go anywhere for a while, get some distance between us, then use the Cain to make sure there's not enough left of him to even attempt a project lazarus 2.0 (in case TIM was thinking of it)
