( Request ) Biotics

 Ok this is a serious matter and a lot of thought has been given to it, and it was thought about with multiple people, so I thought to make this an official request. I believe this would solve underpowered human adept, overpowered asari adept and plenty more, make the game fun and balanced. 

The request is this: Make all biotics affect shielded targets but with 50% strength and duration. 

Here's how this works: 

1) Shielded targets that are hit by biotic attacks like throw/shockwave/charge react to the biotic effect and fall to the ground, but receive only 50% damage, and force. This will make powers throw/shockwave/charge not useless against shielded targets without a weapon backup, but will not completely ignore shields and barriers. More over since enemies sometimes dodge these attacks, I believe it is reasonable.

2) Shielded targets that are hit by biotics like pull/singularity/stasis will also be affected only for 50% duration. This will make for many interesting things. Firstly Stasi will now hold shielded and barriered targets only for 50% time and damage, as will pull and singularity, which will make these powers more or less equal. More over it will make biotic combos possible on shielded targets. But wait just yet, this doesn't brake the game because biotic sniping wouldn't be possible. If the duration of pull is 6 sec, it will only work 3 sec on shielded targets, add 1 sec projectile and 2 sec cooldown, and you will see that biotic combo of Pull/Throw(warp) or Singularity/Throw(warp) will only be available on short distances, because otherwise the projectile for a biotic combo will not be there in time on long distances and the target will shake down the biotic effect. Making biotic sniping expolsions impossible, unless it is warp, but warp doesn't lift targets helpless. This will mean that Human Adept for example will be able to lift a phantom, and make a biotic explosion with on the phantom, but only if get's close enough, otherwise the phantom will quickly get up again. That way Human adept and drell Vanguard will be able to hurt the phantom and others on short distances, and stasis will only have 50% duration and strength, putting these biotics on par. 


You might think that it is too late for changes. However that is not true. Every ME3 copy logs online, and it is very simple to make a patch and make every copy update itself, with the changes, at any time.

staggers are never satisfying. anthing that makes biotics more usefull is good. and i dont mean just more staggers.

after playing alot of the MP, my biggest issue with biotics is enemies continuously dodging my biotics. sometimes the enemies roll animation cancels out my biotic ability entirely too.

im also wondeirng how the hell the adept doesnt have stasis.

I think being able to affect shielded enemies will make up for the cancel rolls.

If Biotics affected everything, it would make playing anything but Biotic spam builds utterly useless.

I think asking this for all biotic powers is a bit too much. For the key-powers like Singularity, Stasis, Charge and Reave I can see it to be reasonable. Pull, Throw, Warp and Shockwave are fine IMHO.

While this is true for the PC, console patches need to go through MS/Sony QA.

I guess you are refering to the non-roleplayers.

You could have a system where Biotics are more powerful, but gets a small penalty x in xp and money rewards in MP

i cant play an asari adept in SP.

honestly id rather play with liaras skillset in SP then whatever you can accomplish with adept shepards. idk how they can visualize liara so perfectly with biotics, but then screw the adept with bionades.

When we get maps with husks, biotics are going to dominate them.

Stasis bubble is already crazy powerful. Biotics don't need to be improved.

I agree some of the races need some balance in their classes (Drell in particular), but BW will likely not buff biotics, because they want some balance with guns. Want more defense stripping power? Then use your ammo bonus equips. ME has never been a pure caster game. The devs want you to use guns.
